Reactions Plugin

I'd love it if there was a plugin that added the option to have people add reactions to posts (not on their own posts though). These reactions should be displayed at the bottom right above the last edit text if it shows. The reactions should be admin set with emoticons and display as below

Tongue out
[Number here]

Not Cool
[Number here]

ROFL
[Number here]

etc with number here displaying the number of people who selected that particular reaction to a post (only a bit more streamlined xD)

Not really, no. Everything from the way the storage works and the items are displayed to the button and how that differentiates between what is saved would need to be rewritten.

It would be easier to start from scratch.

Have you tried maybe working this through "POST COMMENTS" plugin?

Have you tried maybe working this through "POST COMMENTS" plugin?

My plan is to use both together eventually

Hmm. It might be possible with a small modification to my post comments plugin. Except the input would be a predetermined selection rather than open text. I'll see what i can do.

That's what I'm after - as long as in the plugins I could set what I want with what image if that makes sense

Yeah. I'll just have it as HTML so you could put anything you want in there. Text, images, custom JS. I'll knock something up later today and see what it is like.

I assume once a member has selected the mood that they can't pick another, but can they edit their choice afterwards?

The biggest change would actually be checking all the "comments" to see if the user has made a choice and prevent them from making another, or give the option to edit it.
