Plugin request - turn specific words into links / hyperlinks

Can anybody else complete this plugin please?

OK. I've made some changes to the code. It should work during page changes now. I didn't know what it was and I had no joy searching the library the first time. It also doesn't parse code tags. Well, that's not entirely true. It does, it just converts them back. Not an ideal fix but one that I could do real quick. You won't notice any difference though as it only replaces the post once, so the performance impact is negligible. I should also learn what the enter key does

Sorry it took so long. I'll hold on to submitting it to the library as there may be some changes or edits or additional functionality you want including and I'm hesitant to submit plugins multiple times for minor changes.

I gave it a quick test and would like to offer a bit of feedback for you if that's ok.

1. The plugin changes all the words as it should, but...........

2. Code boxes are changed
3. Private messages are changed
4. It changes urls that have the word in and corrupts the link
5. It changes bigger words that contain the chosen words, such as quozzoicity

Ideas for further features:

1. An option to add a target would be cool, i.e blank / self
2. Exact word as default
3. Protect code and private messages etc
4. Protect urls & links

Yes, it changes the word in images URLs so removing those images from the posts.

1. Code boxes are not changed. Sure you're using the updated one?
2. PM's and posts use the same selector. You can change that in the settings.
3. it uses RegEx so wrapping them in \b so it becomes \bquozzo\b would solve the exact word issue, however I could make it an option.
4. I would need to change the code so it doesn't parse links. I'll see what I can do.

Actually, come to think of it, they all say 0.01

Can you link me to the new one please bud?

I changed the code in the post i linked so no one stumbles upon the old one and uses that with the bugs. That is the latest one.

I just realised it doesn't effect image urls with the word in if you add a space before and after the word

It might have a problem if those words are in the shout box I seem to be getting shout box message coming up blank and also some text within posts not appearing.

When installed in the plugin menu, version 1.11 still says version 0.01, which is the name of the old attempt, hence the uncertainty as to whether I'd tested the latest one.

If the new one is from your post, then yes, it was the new one I tested.

OK - Important.

The plugin is making lots of other posts on the test forum disappear.

They re-appear when I untick the plugin.

I've updated the code. It now includes two new options. One is that you can specify if you want to match a whole word or a partial word, the other is ignoring case (capital letters). It now also stops when it reaches a code tag.
