Icon code help

Hey so on my tester site I am building a theme where the icons are at the end instead of the front of the boards. the code is amazing and with some help of Trinity Blair I was able to do it but I am running into one little problem where inside the boards they are all stretched out and funky looking I need to get the static photo which I am using here  <td width="100px"><img src="http://placehold.it/100x100"></td> inside the board like it is outside the board. Here's a screen shot of what I mean i65.tinypic.com/eqoyf7.png

Hope this isn't against the rules just thought you might be able to help me feel free to ignore Tumbleweed

For some reason your screen shot doesn't take me to anything and I just can't imagine in my head what you are doing exactly.

Yes, that works. I see your folder icon in the middle of the column but I'm confused where the image placeholder you talk about comes in. But it does look like you need to go change your column widths but first, I need to know why the placeholder and what you are trying to achieve. Sorry, maybe I'm getting sleepy and not comprehending too well.

Tumbleweed alright I will try my best to explain what I need! I need the placeholder to to be where the folder is that's stretched across the bored. However I am not sure I have no idea how to get into the bored. If you look at my website you will see the placeholder on the front page.

I'm still not sure what you are trying to do unless you are creating a theme for members to use? But if you want to replace that icon with a placeholder, you'll have to put a proper extension on it and add it via your theme images to replace that icon.

Like: placehold.it/100x100.png

I'm assuming the stretched column is just you undergoing a remake of that template and will work that out later?

That is the problem I don't know how to fix the stretched out part. My goal is to placehold.it/100x100.png
and place it inside the boards so eventually when I find the right photo I can change it and it's a static photo in that spot and it doesn't change.

I know I can go into the theme creator and do it but it is still stretched out. I need to manually go into the template and change the folder into a static photo so it's no longer stretched and doesn't change folders from new to old it just stay as one photo. I hope this made better sense.

Update: just read you message I am just going to slip the place holder in and show you it's still stretched out ^^

Did you change the one under "Thread Icons"? Because it worked on my test site.  Double check by going back and making sure it is still there. It might (probably not, though)be because you kind of have that template messed up with a extra column that uses the class icon at the end where you are trying to add "status"  and the class totally removed from the column that actually has the icon. Anyway, double check to see if you replaced the correct one and it is still there.

Tumbleweed so I went into the thread list and added the placeholder in which seems to work now I need to resize the thread board list. Do you know where or how I would do that?

You'll need to go into your css style sheet (Admin >Themes>Advanced Styles & CSS>Style Sheet>) and find the area "Thread Lists" (should be around line 100 or a bit after) and you'll see this:


.threads .main { width:41%;text-align: @thread_align_subject; }
.threads .created-by { width: 14%; text-align: @thread_align_created_by; }
.threads .replies { width: 9%; text-align: @thread_align_replies; }
.threads .views { width: 8%; text-align: @thread_align_views; }
.threads .latest { width: 20%; text-align: @thread_align_last_post; cursor: pointer; }

All those widths are for each column and they should total 100% (there are a couple more below that as well) but since you are trying to add a extra column on the end, you need to take that into account plus I think I remember seeing you have inline widths. Going to look again.......yes, you have this in your template which is what is stretching that section, I believe.

So you'll need to go back into your template and remove that. Edit, I mean just remove the width part, not the th tags.

Right now it is still stretched. Let me delete my history/cache, etc. and I'll check again.

Yes, it is still stretched, even after clearing everything from my browser. Could I perhaps be looking at the wrong theme? I even looked in FF and IE and it is stretched there too.
