My Profile - Like Myspace - Users change profile colors

[P̌̓aͧś̀t̀u͒le͆o͂2̀3̃̓]

This is an beta release in order to get some input on the idea
Basically go to your profile page and on your title-bar with your name you should see Custom Colors IMG
Click that and you will get a whole bunch of IMG around your forum.
Click on one of those to change it's font color, background color, and image via popup

Notes:
I'm releasing this as-is right now
I would appreciate your comments on the function thus far
Add more default id/classes for simple mode
specify custom class selectors and removal bugs

Alrighty- I like it! A bit complex for people that don't understand classes, and also somewhat odd to use because of the flood of little color wheels, but altogether it's pretty sweet.
Is there a way we could rollover each wheel and see a little popup that tells what the item's class is before we have to click it? Would make things easier. And if we can do that, perhaps something to explain what the item does? I'm thinking a div at the top of the screen, with text inside that changes based on what is hovered over. Could that work?

Hover show selector sounds good idea. I can do that.
I don't know how to explain what the item does.
I could maybe put some border highlight of the element
That might work.
As far as the amount of them.... Well every theme is different.
And this works for all themes. Which is a start. 
And originally i was using an upper left corner but anything outside the element seriously screwed up the layout. Especially sidebar redux.
Then there's the issue of special cases like dont do HTML. Body tag. Etc
Like i didn't even do ids.
So if you wanted an ID you could specify it in settings to be manually added?

That would be good. IDs might help things a bit, as they usually describe the items better than classes.
I've only tested this plugin on my forum made for such, but in a few I can look at it on my main to see how it looks with the sidebars (though mine are pretty different compared to most lol)
And a border around item selected would be great ouo

How would an ID name describe something better than a class name? As far as naming conventions go, I believe they are the same. The only real difference between an ID and a class is that you can't have 2 ID's with the same name on the same page. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm missing something, but I don't think "names" are actually described better one way over the other. One could conceivably have an ID with a name of #thispage and a class with a name of .content_area - and in this case, the class name (to me) would be more descriptive.

I agree, I opted for class names first because albeit ids are good, but the reason there would be a class attached in the first place is because it was MEANT to be styled. I think adding ids would throw so many color changing wheels on the forum it would be nutso-crazo. In my plugins, I think my classes are as good as my ids. As far as proboards theme makers who knows. 
Either way I'm hoping the highlight feature should solve this issue. 
My plan is hover over will bring up a context menu that will allow you to remove the wheel, view the name, and highlight the item, with a close in upper right. I don't want to add too many exclusions from the list since that will dramatically slow down the code.

I tend to use IDs to name things more than classes- guess I had a 'blonde moment' and didn't realize not everyone does that. .-.
Anyways-
I'm really just here to kinda test things out. Not full of many ideas at the moment... Been a long month already, and it's only just started.
But before I go rambling on with that, I'll just say that the context menu sounds good, though with the way some wheels are clustered together I now see that it could get difficult in some places.

I tried testing but i didn't have a super key so i couldn't.

i'v just tested it on a test site and it's pretty cool !! it could do with a reset button.

But i don't think its complected at all, maybe to much though, it might better with less color circle thingys.

I dont think you need one on the buttons, maybe 1 for the banner, 1 for the background and 1 for the actual user profile box background.

Or have it "simple edit color box" with the 3 options i gave, then "advanced edit color box" with all your color circle things.

This trial edition has simple mode by default with an option to show more
You can add as many extras as you (admin) want in the manage ui section.
