Did not work. I downloaded and installed the new plugin with nchange. Then deleted the HTML widget and put in a new one with no change.

It is opening now. Thanks! After clicking one of the Top 5 links, the link turns the exact same color as my background and becomes invisible. I'd probably place this in my sideboard as well if that were an option. I'd also select an expanded view default if that were an option. Thanks for all this work.

Oh, you but you can. You can place this anywhere on that page:
<a id = "top-5">Top 5 Liked Posts</a> So long as it's on the page it will work. What do you mean by expanded view?

It's showing as a link which when clicked opens a pop up box with the top 5: At first I would have preferred it just display the list rather than the link. Now I've added it to my sidebar displayed as an icon by entering: <a id = "top-5"></a><img src="http://sample.jpg" border="0" /></a> But that doesn't seem to work. Now I have two issues: 1) The Top 5 link only works from the dashboard but the sidebar is part of my wrap and displays on all pages 2) Once the links are clicked they turn gray which is my background color. I'm not sure where to change the textcolor settings. after It does work in the sidebar which is awesome.

jrj84105 This is incorrectly formatted: It should be this: That should be changed for you now. Let me know if this is not the case. That change would be made on line 140 of the CSS Style Sheet. Specifically the value of the @ link _visited_color which is one line 66.

Thanks, I ultimately figured out the error (very steep part of the learning curve here), and really appreciate the info on the text coloration (I actually had already changed by entire background color to make the links visible). Is getting the Top5 to work on the forum view something that an average semi-knowledgeable user can figure out him/herself or this that yet another request to you? Again, Many thanks; I'm so happy I stumbled into this product and the fantastic support.

jrj84105 I'm actually planning to make it more user friendly. I guess users like Top 5 to be available everywhere based on the other users in this thread (not just your own). Anyways, yeah that should work everywhere now in your forum -- as long as you include this anywhere in the forum wrapper template: You're welcome! And of course any questions let me know.

It's definitely opening from every page now that it's installed in the wrapper. It doesn't, however, seem to be updating though, just retaining the same links.

jrj84105 It should be working now. Apologies for the troubles. Gonna rewrite this plugin soon D: I also cleared the plugin key because I was troubleshooting.

You're the best. After struggling through my ineptitude, I finally have the Top5 and the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar working. I expect this to be the core navigating structure for my board, which leads to hopefully my final question. The Recently Uploaded Threads Sidebar has an "Extra Cell" feature. Any chance you and Todge could get the Top5 to open from this location? I think the two plugins together would be more than the sum of their parts. Just a thought.

jrj84105 Awesome. As to your question as long as that cell accepts HTML it should be good which it does. All you have to do is move that link there instead of the forum wrapper template.

The function seems to be "stuck" and is not updating. Is there any way to force it to update?

jrj84105 Where is it on the page? Can't seem to find it anywhere. EDIT: I found it. Okay, looks like you moved the template code for the likes to appear at the bottom of a post. Yep, that would break it. Gonna fix it right now. Should be a quick one
