Lost Background and Graphics

This morning, I have no background to my forum, no graphics hardly ... everything seems to not be working.

Why would this be, does anyone know?

Photobucket is down at the moment. If you're using that site for your images then that would be the reason.

Looks like you are using photobucket. Hopefully they have it fixed for you soon

For what it's worth this also extends to tinypic, which is a subsidiary of photobucket.

Thank you everyone!  I should have known it had something to do with them being down yet again.

All the images on my forum are down too. Photobucket has been running system maintenance since last night. Hopefully everything will be up and running soon.

Wow. I learned something new. I didn't know they were related sites. I noticed this morning that all of my tinypic images were down. I hope they get it tended to soon. I have the morning where I can spend doing some work on a new skin/theme then this happens. I WAS thinking about moving all of my tinypic images to my ancient photobucket account, but with your post Kami I guess I'll just wait this out. Besides, I like the smaller urls.

Yep, most of my pictures are hosted from Tinypic and they're all down and out too.

Been monitoring my site since 08.00 today.   No photobucket so in the end I logged in to postimage so that I could at least have a banner image and something for the background.

You could also host all your theme images in the proboards theme manager!

If you go to the theme manager in your admin panel, then hover over a theme you should see a button that says "images". Click that then scroll to the bottom of the page; you can upload images there (:

You can also add images in some sections (e.g. Smilies) instead of scrolling to the bottom.


This will give you a URL to use, as well as have the image available as a variable in your layout templates.
