Sorry, but that's not going to happen. Reason: What if someone has more than 1 new message? How would the plugin know which new message to go to? Sorry, but I can't see it as being a feasible addition. By it taking the user to their inbox, that lets the person choose which message they want to read first, if they've got more than 1 new message.
