Ah, I can see why that'd be a problem. Dang. I'll just have to keep manually updating it, then. On my site, it's considered a successful quest so long as you were part of the fight, final blows are irrelevant in how I set up the system. Thank you for your responses, though =3

Would it be possible to use a sound effect when a creature is defeated? Thanks for any information you can provide!

After fighting, how do the members regain their health? As an admin, am I able to change certain members health?

Any time a member posts in a creature thread while a creature is present, and they do not receive any more damage, they will regain 5% of their total health back. You can increase or decrease that amount in the plugins' 'Settings' tab. Second section down titled 'Recovery Rate (%)'.

As the sites admin you also have the option to change a member's health directly. If you go to a members profile >> 'Edit Profile', and in 'Staff Options', near to the bottom you should find the members 'Creature Hunt HP'. You can change both their current and their maximum HP there.

Can you please elaborate, has the creature's HP been reduced to 0? Are you getting the notification but without the member's name?

Also, I'd probably need to see the thread where you have the Creature Hunt plugin operating to have any chance of diagnosing any problems, so if you could either post a link here, or PM me it to me if you prefer. The board will have to be guest friendly for me to have any chance of seeing any possible issues.

Todge - I have a question. Is there any known issues that come with having any of the following plug-ins installed on a forum causing Creature Hunt II to not show the deceased or creature images in the forum topic listing?

• Monetary Shop
  
• Awards System
  
• Trophies
  
• Members Happy Birthday
  
• Proboards Zombies

Reason I has is because I have a testing forum set up and then my main forum. Each are set up identical save for those 5 plug-ins (Keys being used and the like) On my testing forum, where I don't have those the deceased and creature images show in the forum topic listing. On my main that has those, they don't. It isn't a huge deal as we are a small forum but it is something that makes me go "well that isn't fun."

As you can see in the two posted images - it is showing on one but not the other. Top one is the main forum with the additional plug-ins

And this one has all the same plug-ins as the above, minus the five listed out here in reply.

I figure it has to be something in those 5 plug-ins as other than that each forum is set up exactly like the other. Same theme, same web browser, pulling it up on the same computer, etc. Before I started deleting things to find the exact cause, thought it would be best to ask. (Especially since things like the Monetary Shop, Awards System, and Trophies all take a bit of time and work to set up and some, if I delete them, will mean people will lose everything they have gotten and will have to re-earn it.) - If you have any ideas, recommendations, or even work around ideas, I am all ears.

No need to delete any plugins. You can go to Admin > Plugins > Manage and simply disable them by unchecking the box next to the plugin name. You could disable those 5 you listed, then turn them on 1 at a time - refreshing the page after each time you re-enable a plugin, checking to see if the "Deceased" shows up or not. If it is 1 of those 5 plugins, you'll have the "Deceased" be missing after you turn on the culprit plugin. Just take note of what the last plugin was that you turned on.

Lady Amalthea, you can rule out the Awards System Plugin, as for the others, I've not heard of any issues, but let me know what you find and I'll see what I can do.

Is it possible to tag users, like a staff or NPC account, using this? If not, would it be grossly out of line for me to ask for a feature like that? If this is still being updated and you've got the time/inclination anyway.

Not a problem, and you'll never get requests done unless you ask..

As for adding a tag to a post once a creature appears, the plugin does not currently add content to a post, as you saw in your previous thread, but it may be able to be added, as the plugin works out if a creature is due to appear while a post is being authored. But another way is to use a key and add a pop-up as an alert to the admin, though, ideally, this would require another key, and the plugin already uses 3.

And yes, this plugin is still being updated.. I do have plans to add to the plugin, mainly using companion plugins, to add 'optional extras' and added functionality.. I'm just waiting on V6 to arrive before I start making large changes that may need re-writing when it gets here.

So, does it add in another post after a player makes a post that triggers it, or is it meant to be a scenario where an admin posts a creature hunt event thread and other players reply? Either way though, I can understand not wanting to load keys onto it
