Forum URL: railvillage.proboards.com/Would be possible to have a $[viewing_recent_threads] variable that works the same way as the $[viewing_recent_posts] but of course for threads??

There is a specific reason for the $[viewing_recent_posts] variable inasmuch as the posts need to display a little differently and contain different information depending on whether they are in the recent posts or in the topic.
What was the reason you would like the recent threads variable added?

I have the following in my Thread List template and it only shows on page one. My thinking was, if the variable was added, it would simplify the coding and have it show up on more than one page. {if $[route.name] == "recent_threads"} — <span style="font-size: 7pt; color: #8B795E;">Board: <a href="$[thread.board.link.href]">$[thread.board.display_name]</a></span>{/if}

Hey Nscalerr 🐺, looks like you are simply trying to highlight the board name when you are in the recent threads? Is that what you want the variable to do as well? If that's the case, a simple javascript code could achieve the same effect.

Pretty much and also have a link to the board itself on all pages of the recent threads area.
This was my original thinking for it.
{if $[viewing_recent_threads]} — <span style="font-size: 7pt; color: #A39480;"><a href="$[thread.board.link.href]">$[thread.board.display_name]</a></span>{/if}
