That's just a mockup to see if we are on the right track with what you are after. I put it on codepen because its fast to prototype a design quickly
I'ts hard doing mockups on the forums themselves as there is usually some hurdle you have to jump through to get it working.
I know for a fact your forum design I would have to fix some additional things as your contents have some static width values, so they might break the flow a little, anyway If you want to go ahead with that design, I will make it play nice with your theme and send you the code.

You can also change the view to put the viewport on the right and the code on the left. Which is my preference :)

It's an interesting one and could work. Is there a way to try one that's more fixed than toggleable just to see how that would look?
