Is it possible to do this for a proboards banner?

I love the spinning swirly things, I was just wondering if anybody has successfully tried it on their own banner?
You can preview (live view) and download it for free. I tried to follow the instructions but unfortunately I couldn't get it right

seaturtle , Could you elaborate on the spinning swirly things you are talking about? When I view the link I do not see anything moving. Are you talking about having a gif, ie. moving images banner? If yes then this is possible to do. All you need to do is make or find a non copyrighted gif and use the url/link as you would a normal static image. ^^

Edit: Ok I found the live preview and as I said before you can have a gif where images flash/rotate through a set sequence, but I have never experienced working with a user activated movement before. If you are using the coding provided and something does not work it may be because it needs to be possibly tweaked to accommodate Proboards platform.

Yeah the spinning things, and it also moves when you hover your cursor over it. Although I don't really think that's important, I just like the moving effect, even if it's not user activated. I would love to have it on my banner. So are they simply using a gif (or gifs)? I thought it would be highly complex walls of code...!

My banner is quite large, so even with a few moving about I think it would look pretty cool. I noticed it does seem to make the background picture a bit funny though, perhaps a simple dark grey or black background would work well and reduce that effect?

The effect that the preview that you linked shows is way more complex than a simple gif image. It would require code to respond to user interaction. Whereas a gif is essentially a tiny mini movie comprised of two or more 'scenes' in which it rotates through that can not respond to a cursor movement. It just simply plays through the individual scenes over and over again.

Oh I am sorry you got that impression! I brought it up as an alternative to at least achieve movement even if it was not reactive to the cursor. ^^

A link to the rep. with documentation is found in the plugin.

Nope, that's the quality of the GIF.  Test the plugin on a forum and it should be fine.  All it is, is a canvas element sitting on top of the banner.
