Hello! I would like to have a FAQ on my forum. Is there a way to make it like the Deviant Art FAQ section?

Can you show a screen shot or link us to the FAQ so we can get an idea.

Considering you have nearly full control over the templates (including custom pages), then what you see on other websites is possible on a ProBoards forum.

No, it's all on one page, but just doing a simple hide / show method.

Plenty of solutions already exist out there. Just search for something like "css toggle div link click".

It was a joke... I apologize if it came across as me being serious. I am working hard to learn this stuff. Your advice has been very helpful. It's your right of course to ignore my posts though if you wish.

I have been looking online for the search terms you have said, and I found something that would do what I think I want it to do. I think. But I cannot seem to get it to work properly. Does any of this make sense?

It would not be the most ideal but you can achieve a similar functionality with spoiler tags in a thread. I also believe there is a plugin for spoiler tags that allows you to customize them a bit, but I've never used it. Any who spoilers can be embedded in one another to open/close different sections and sub sections.

Also wanting to say that I was uhming and ahhing over whether or not to post. That type of joke doesn't come across well on the internet and I read it as having a bit of an attitude over not getting something you wanted. Text isn't good at conveying jokes that rely a lot on tone.

It was indeed a joke. I joke a lot, but didn't realize that I can't joke on PB forum. I see people ribbing each other a lot on here so I thought it was appreciated.

In any case, yes I think that is similar to what I want. I don't want it to bring the user back to the top of the page every time they click something though. I find that to be headache-inducing. On the DA FAQ it just changes the available links on the right when they click something on the left.

I did attempt to make something with spoilers, but it did not behave properly and it looks bad. I am making this on a custom page, not on a forum post.

You can joke around all you like, just make sure it comes off as a joke.

The problem we have, is that we barely know each other.  So I can't tell if you are joking or not.  It's generally a good idea just to end your comment with a to make sure the message gets across that you are joking.

Its not that you can't joke it's that nothing you said indicated it was one. A :P would have gone a long way in indicating that for example. Plus, establishing a relationship with someone before employing joking sarcasm would be useful. You haven't been an active member here long enough for Peter to know what your personality is like or establish a rapport with you.

I also read your post negatively because i don't know you well enough to know when you're kidding. You were asking for help, and made a sarcastic reply when you were told no. Have you ever talked to Peter without asking him for help? If not how was he supposed to know you were kidding? How were any of us?
