Hi,
When we apply to join a forum and our request is pending admin approval, is there a list of pending requests that we can view? I can't find a list showing the status of requests (pending/accepted/rejected). Of course, I know which ones are accepted but for the others, there seems to be no record of them in my profile. Other than writing them down, how can I track my forum membership requests?

Hi You can check the Security Log in your administration area [ Security > Security Log ]. You can filter the log to show only new registrations, accepted or rejected logs via the All Logs drop down menu in the top right hand corner. All Logs > Members

Hi Craig
Maybe there's a little misunderstanding here. I'm talking about when I, as a normal user, apply, not on the requests received by the forum admin.

There's nothing I know of that will keep track of what forums you've applied to join for you. That's something you'd have to do for yourself.

I debated a little with myself whether it was as a member or an admin. Part of the post sounded like admin, the other member. I swayed towards admin. You should be sent an email when you register for a forum. If you haven't, or don't delete those emails, you should have a record of the accounts there. Otherwise, i am afraid, there is no record

From what you've said, I understand that applicants never get a rejection email. Am I right? So we, applicants that is, never know if the join request has been actioned or not. We only know that it's not been accepted. It could be sitting untouched in the pending state forever for all we know. That's kinda fine but it would be nice, as a forum user, to have a list of join requests that we could reference. When you get older, it's harder to remember what we did yesterday and this might save us sending duplicate join requests

Indeed, an email is not sent when an account is rejected, so it is a bit of research needed when you go through the signup emails and see if the account exists or not. I can certainly list this as a feature request. It would perhaps be nice to have a global account action log to record such actions
