I noticed that earlier in this thread, someone mentioned my only complaint but it still seems to be an issue. The two icons at the bottom of the page (Facebook and Discord). They're sized wrong, and also a bit pixelated implying it's not really the right size. Track down a free icon set, and replace those images with something that matches the theme better.

I think you really improved on all of my previous points, in particular cutting down the number of boards you had and instead classify by platform rather than by title. It really shows that your overall focus is on gaming now, rather than previously when your "Coffee Time" off-topic board had the appearance of being the most-posted section.

Congrats to both you and elli for a job well done combining previous suggestions into a very cohesive theme and well organised content.

Your board looks very professional and the colors all work well. As does the icons. You have a nice number of boards on the main page so there isn't as much scrolling up and down to view things. I like that you have your PC and console games all in one section and a place for retro games. Good luck on getting more activity on your board.

Great job by elli on the theme it looks really good and its easy on the eyes and not too hard to read.

The overall layout is really good and there arent too many boards which is good as it means less scrolling.

Personally im more a fan of the dark mode than light but thats probably down to preference as i have nearly everything in dark mode where possible.

The only recommendations i would make at the moment is to reduce the wasted space in the info center on the right hand side by maybe moving the users online in the last 24 hours as a second section on the right hand side of the current users online.

The remaining section i would either than remove or replace as a scrolling affiliates section.

But overall a job well done!

I'll break down my review by sections in which I find important. This is only my opinion, I'm no one special so please don't take offence (it's not intended) or take my opinion as any kind of expert opinion.

The very first impression I have:
Is this even a Proboard?! This forum looks smooth, Im a fan.

Above the adds:
I had to make this a special area I covered due to the layout. I LOVE this forum wrapper and how it all blends together. The bar that floats at the top of the page not only looks good at the top of the forum as the page loads, but also as you navigate the forum. I rarely see that work both ways so perfectly. The features it incorporates are also good.

The banner itself is great too, I can tell work was put into the graphic design but it isn't overly complicated. The buttons to the right are simple and go with the banner, I love the mouseover effect on these.

Usually News bars look bad, or cluttered. They this blends into the wrapper works great. So far my only complaint is that on my side the text overlaps. The scrolling text goes too far to the left and is hidden by the "News" title. I can't read the beginning of the news. The start of the incoming news also shows on the right side from where it scrolls in.

You have just enough information in the header. It's everything I need without being too much.

Boards:
Love the board layout. It's simple, it's organized, it has labels for the right things and you didn't cram everything in one space.

Custom icons for each topic and member avatars for the recent is a nice touch. You also don't have an overwhelming amount of boards. It's easy to get through your content.

Infocenter:
Love the way you have the color contrast with the info center and header the same color and the boards different. The classic look with minimal images looks great. Love how the layout matches your boards. Consistent look.

Misc/extra features:
That toggle for day and night mode is epic. Probably my favorite on this forum and on any forum ive seen. Usually content that floats become frustrating as they block content. This flows well and the function is great.

Overall:
I have few complainants. I love the simple look with custom design. I find simple and lee look better but I also want custom features and design that sticks out. You check all the boxes. I recommend an affiliates section on your forum to help boost your views. I wont recommend a way to add it because how ever your forum would add it would look epic.

I wish you and your forum the best. I wish I were more diverse in gaming.

The first thing that came to my mind when I clicked on your link was, "Whoa, this looks different." I meant "different" in a good way. It didn't have a typical ProBoards vibe. It looked a little more professional and did have a vibe similar to what I remember seeing on another gaming forum.

My personal preference is to not have boxes on the side, but I like everything to be perfectly even at all times. So, I'm not suggesting that you remove them. If they work well for you, keep them.

I was going to suggest that the board icons be the same color blue as the news bar. I then realized that it turned blue when I hovered over it. *High five*

Since you're using a theme designed by someone else, I won't comment other than saying it's very pleasing to the eye with a nice color combination.

The only real negative I find (admittedly, I am not a gamer) is that a lot of your copy is outside of the container area and it overflows the borders of the designated area.

Other than that, it has great eye and color appeal.

Thanks, are you using full screen? Nothing should over-lap in full resolution with full screen, although with some monitors it does unfortunately. Try CTRL+Zoom to correct this. I'm trying to get a code right now that will determine visitors resolutions and adjust the forum accordingly.

It should work now, I've added a script that will remove the right hand sidebar if the resolution of the visitor is too small for it to fit.

Thank you! It's been a long road. I started this forum in 2005, and have been working on it ever since(minus a few breaks). Creating a healthy forum in todays day and age is like pulling teeth, not very easy!
