Forum URL: classiccomics.boards.netApparently, it's been a year since I paid to link the custom domain classiccomics.org to my site. I never received any notification the expiration date was coming up and that it was time to renew. Now, during a peak hour for my site, there's a redirect error that comes up, explaining that the site owner did not renew the transaction, and I get the same error message every time I try to go into the Admin panel to renew.PLEASE help me resolve this fast. Quite happy to pay the fee again, but this never should have happened. Not the quality of customer service I've come to expect from proboards! Every minute this continues is damaging to the success of my site.EDIT: Okay. I was able to get in and renew. PLEASE make this more seamless for site admins in the future. We need a head's up before it gets to this point, as well as an easy means of fixing the situation fast.

shaxper, I apologize this happened. Currently there is no notification for domain linking expiration. Even though I know other admins have made a similar request, I'm still marking this thread as a feature request.

Thanks. To be clear, then, it's two related requests:
1. That notification be provided in advance when domain link expiration is approaching.
2. That, once the domain link expires, there is a simple way to renew. Currently, you have to get into the Admin section, and (in my case) that was producing the same expiration message instead of taking me to the admin section.

For number 1, could you not also add a calendar entry/alarm on your phone or pc or something to help remind you?

While self reminders are always good, most services that have expiration dates do email their customers when that service is expiring, reminding them it's time to renew.
And most of us are grateful that they do. I own two websites and I appreciate when I'm notified it's time to renew my domain name and/or my hosting for the year.
It's good customer service and it makes things easier for both parties.
