We have already used a random image rotator for a long time and our members like it a lot, as you really don't know what to look for. We now have about 60 images to choose from and all we need to do is insert a common URL into the plugin's settings, whereupon the image changes with the page. But if we could add the images directly into the plugin, that would be easier than relating to an external site for the image URL list. Images would still have to be hosted online somewhere. The autoform would just allow you to link all of your images into the plugin's settings. As such, you'll need to make sure that the image host you use permits hot-linking. I'll also be adding a text field for each image. That text field won't get used anywhere within the plugin - it'll be there so one can "label" what that particular linked image is. Example: - Text field: Diamond - Image URL: FULL_LINK_TO_IMAGE_HERE "Diamond" won't be used in the plugin, just it's image from the URL. "Diamond" is just something to let you know what that image is. It'll be an optional text field, so one can just leave it blank if they wanted - without affecting the plugin's operation.

Tommy, Just out of curiosity (and looking for a solution to your problem enlightened me on another potential problem - so, thank you) - what do you have your Frequency set to? That option can be found in the UI under the Modifiers tab.

Tommy, Just out of curiosity (and looking for a solution to your problem enlightened me on another potential problem - so, thank you) - what do you have your Frequency set to? That option can be found in the UI under the Modifiers tab. Thank you for the tag - I had the frequency set to zero. Out of curiosity I just now set it to 2 and it's still acting the same way as previously described. Just to note, setting the Frequency to anything less than 2 will force it to a frequency of 2 (that is the minimum - probably should add that in the description to the option), so your setting of 0 would still be looked at as a frequency of 2. There is a proboards.on('pageChange') in the coding - which is supposed to "re-roll" your chances of finding an object on pagination, page refresh, page changing, etc. I'll inquire about this with some of the coders who are more familiar with that. In the interim, could you try changing your frequency to a higher number, such as 6 or 10? A change to something like 3 doesn't really make much of a difference, so it needs to be something a bit higher. I'll get back to you when I can. I won't be around much until after Wed, May 27th - but I'll pop on when I can. Thanks for your patience while I figure this out!

Lynx we've had a rather huge hiccup on our game. We have about 15 or so people disappear off the leaderboard altogether. Some of these people had thousands of counts. We have also noticed large discrepancies between the leaderboard and what is shown in people's mini profile. This is not unusual that they're off, but they're off by a lot. And even when you click another image, it doesn't completely correct. The game seems to be behaving regularly on one of my forums and not the other. The one with the problem is losingitafter50.freeforums.net/
Now I will admit we do have some crazy people who sit there and click all day long. But this is much worse than usual. Any suggestions?

Troubleshooting note: Just noticed that on our Key Count on both forums, WritePermissions were set the Staff. I just changed both to Members & Staff. But since the issue only occurred on one forum, I kinda doubt that was the issue. Also, during this game launch about a week ago, we've had a lot more "Null" values appearing on the Leaderboard than we usually do. It only appears to happen when a player first enters the game. Once they have a number on the Leaderboard, it seems to stick.

Do you think changing our frequency to make it more difficult to find images will help? Right now, it is set at 8 on both forums. What number do you think I should set it at if you think this might alleviate the issue?

Update... People are falling off the leaderboard, clicking an image and reappearing, then falling back off within an hour. This has not happened before so I'm trying to figure out what's changed.

m2marsh, For starters, I see there a group (Group ID of 9) included in the plugin settings under Key Permissions. I would suggest removing that (NSR does not have included groups there, so settings differ there). Including/Excluding groups should not be done there, as that area affects key writing. Including/Excluding groups should be done at Admin > Plugins > Manage and clicking the Edit button for the plugin. Once Key Permissions are set in the plugin's UI (see image posted here), they should not be altered - as they affect key reading and writing. On a similar note, NSR has an exclusion group with ID of 6. Again, this affects key permissions and excluding groups should be done as described above. Please fix the key settings and see if that makes a difference.

I DID see that error on the Refugees forum, but not on the Losing It forum. So I fixed Refugees. I also added the No Scavenger group to both forums now using the Edit for the plugin instead of on the What's the Prize tab.
Would you mind checking both forums again and seeing if I have it right on both? By the way, I have no problem with you making changes in the Admin area for this plugin.

Looks to be in the Key - Count in the And members in the groups setting: In the above quote, you can see the "include_groups":["9"] bolded. Whatever Group ID 9 is, it's still in there - according to the page source.

m2marsh, Your Key - Count Write setting is wrong. It needs to be Staff. A new field, with a checkbox, should appear under it (Users can write to their own content) that should be checked. That group is probably not showing because the And members in the groups does not show unless the setting is Staff or Custom. You'll probably see that group show up once you set the Write to Staff.

OK -- changed that. But the Help button does say it should be Member and Staff. This is what I now see:

Thanks for that. I'll update the Help text on the next update. You can remove the group (ProBoards Plugin Developer) - as I only needed that previously so I could manually write to the key via console.
Please give it some time, as I suspect that having allowed all members write to the private keys, it may have been the cause for the issues. Now that users can only write to their content, things should return to normal. Time will tell. Please keep me updated.
