Forum URL: (private)
G'morning!
I put a link in my navigation bar to the ad report tool. I just got hijacked to another website twice BUT! when I go back to the forum to report the ads, there are no ads listed on the ad report site. I notice if I click on the link at the bottom, there is a pop up window that is fairly easy to follow. However the convenience of ad reporting using the top link for some of my rather computer illiterate posters (some of them just refuse to try to understand) that convenience is gone. Is this a new report tool? Is there a link I can put in the navigation bar to get that pop up? Thanks in advance.

sassyfrassy, Yes this is a new ad reporting tool, and unfortunately at this time there is not a link I can provide for you to put in the navigation bar. However I will label this as a feature request in the meantime while I inquire about the possibility of this.

You can use this in Structure > Headers & Footers > Global Header to change a navigation menu link to open the ad reporting tool. Substitute the text in green with the name of the menu item that should open it when clicked.
Once that's done navigate to Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation and create a new menu button. Use the same name you specified above as its name and use this as its URL:

Yay! Success! Thank you Brian!
The only remaining question is... ... in the case of an ad that redirects to another page, one would have to go back into the forum to report the ad, would not know which ad to report. Would you want the url to the site redirected to?

The URL the ad redirects to doesn't provide us any information about the ad in question as the URL is usually arbitrary and different from the source of the ad.
We're currently working on revising the new ad report system to handle redirects.
