This is 100% rushed, but hopefully it gets you started. github.com/PopThosePringles/ProBoards-Post-OutfitsEverything can be tweaked via CSS like you wanted. Added the option for staff to click on the outfit next to a post which will open a dialog asking if you want to remove it. It basically looks / works like the templates code I done for you. I haven't done much testing, so I may address issues and do some tweaks to get it how you want (no promises ).
Edit: I won't mark this as complete until you are happy with it, as you have waited some time for this

WHAT? You filled both of my plugin requests?! You magnificent person, you! Thank you so much! Ahh I am so excited to get to play with this, I genuinely didn't think anyone would fill it until V6 - which is completely understandable given the complexity of my request and the proximity of V6 - ahhhh this is just the best surprise on a random lil Tuesday I could ask for. Thank you for your continued time and effort =D I'll be testing it out today!

I looked at it the other day and thought that it's basically my Post Templates plugin, but just needing a post key to show the template to the world Wasn't too bad, little awkward getting the outfit container next to the post. Wasn't sure on a a good solution, as I didn't want to alter the structure too much, so opted for inserting it into the post, then absolutely positioning it based on the post width. Am sure there will be issues, as it was rushed, and had little testing. Hopefully it's mostly what you were after, and I'll do some tweaks as needed.

Peter, I have begun testing! I tested as thoroughly as I could and reported every bug or essential missing element, as well as a few luxuries that are quite unnecessary and can be ignored if you don't have the inclination/time. Here is my test thread: alcryst.forums.net/thread/1506/outfit-test The site is in MM, you can log into your privileged account username "peter" if you remember the password from years ago haha. If you don't, I'll take it out of MM for a bit so you can view as a guest or make another account to receive privileges. =3 1. Could you supply a code for placing the outfit container in the posting page? For example, with the posting templates plugin you made, you supplied<div id="post-templates"><br></div>for me to put it exactly where I wanted it. I used that to do a whole toggling thing. I did try using<div class="post-outfits-list"><br></div>which let me place it successfully where desired, but the original outfit container also remained, effectively making 2 of it haha 2. Would I be able to add a title to the box? Specifically, it'll be above the image but within the container. Something basic, probably just "Outfit" or "Current Outfit" or some such. It would also be marvelous if I could add a title hover to it to explain what the box is for those who don't know, so they get a description when they hover over the title, but that is faaaar from necessary. 3. The original request was to have the original version of the image show when you hover over it - the original image being larger. The way post attachments work, basically. And then clicking on it opens a new window with the full original image. However, I assume the hover is more complicated - so I would be very happy if it could just link the image to the larger original image if clicked? =3 4. Unfortunately, the text aspect in the thread container isn't showing at all, despite adding text to the outfit entry. EDIT: Actually... oddly enough, I selected an outfit in the first post that had text entered and it didn't show the text. But then I made a second post, selecting the same outfit, and the text does show. I have no idea what to make of that. o.OEDIT EDIT: Aha! I think the problem with #4 is actually the problem I state in #7. The text works, just can't be edited. So disregard. 5. Is it possible for the text to allow light BBCode or HTML? My thoughts being for simple linebreaks and bolding text so people can organize the outfit description into a list rather than the standard paragraph if they prefer. ^^ 6. Again, this one is far from necessary, is it perhaps possible to have the outfit show next to each of the same account's posts in the same thread? If you intentionally left this out, then please ignore this request! If it's too difficult and/or you're unwilling, that's a-okay, but if it's simple enough, it'd help for the threads spanning 3 pages where no one remembers or looks at the OP anymore haha or when someone joins a thread in the middle and it becomes difficult to find their 1st post to check the outfit. 7. Bug: If you make a post with a certain outfit, then edit that post and change the text in the selected outfit and click save, it does not change in the thread. So basically you can't make retroactive edits to outfits. This includes changing the image. This also includes if you make a brand new post but edit an existing outfit from the history, and then make the post - it will show the old outfit, not the edit you made prior to posting. EDIT: After working on this problem more, what you can do is edit the post, change the outfit and save it, save the post edit, then re-edit the post and select the altered outfit again and re-save the post. If you "rinse and repeat" then the edit will work. Instead of the expected edit post > change outfit > save outfit > save post, basically. Interestingly, it does allow you to edit post > switch to the blank outfit i.e. no outfit > save post and it removes the outfit without having to "rinse and repeat." So you can remove the outfit correctly haha 8. Not a big deal as it's only aesthetic, but it produces 2 buttons each for the up/down buttons in the scrollbar for long text descriptions. As in, there's normally 1 button on top, then the scrollbar, then 1 button on bottom, but this has 4 total buttons. The scrollbar still works so if this isn't easy to fix or is being obnoxious to diagnose or whatnot, then it can be left as-is. Just appearances. :) As a sidenote, what is the approximate storage limit for this? I assume it's a key per user, so like 4k characters per account across all of their outfit text together, or...? Thank you very much again. I spent a long time fiddling with it and didn't encounter any other bugs or issues! It works very nicely and I was able to customize it quite a bit from the build plugin view, got it to look precisely as desired. I am so, so excited for this plugin to be created, it's like early Christmas! =D =D

#1 - It's #post-outfits. #2 - Done. New settings in plugin for "Title" and "Description" + hover on title. #3 - Done. #4. -- #5. Done. Very basic bbc parser for center, b, i, s, u and converting new lines to breaks. #6. Unfortunately it's saved to the post using a post key. #7. Editing issues fixed. Basically too many routes and forms to check for key hook. Should be good now. #8. It has overflow-y on to prevent large descriptions going down the page. You can tweak this with CSS, just inspect the containers. If you are seeing double scrollbar, then can you link me to the post. Sounds like a CSS error on my part. Storage limit is based on post key size and browser setting of localStorage. github.com/PopThosePringles/ProBoards-Post-Outfits/releases/tag/1.0.1

peter, It is just amazing. Spent the past several hours working on formatting, instructions, testing... it is freakin' fantastic. Just to confirm, if you have Outfit A in Thread 1 and Outfit A is also in Thread 2, and you edit Outfit A in Thread 2, it does not change what Outfit A looked like in Thread 1, correct? As in, edits do not retroactivelys affect the same outfit that was selected in previous posts or threads unless you go into those posts/threads and manually change it for each one. (I'm fairly certain this is accurate but I want to be positive before adding it to the instructions in the posting page for them haha) The only thing I have to report is an issue with large images. If you place an image that is very large, the hover mechamism will break. For me, it is moving the hover image to the right side, which means it is completely cut off the page. A post with an example of this: alcryst.forums.net/post/3640/threadThe solution I come up with, if it is easy/possible to code: - give the hover a max-height/max-width to ensure it doesn't exceed your desktop view - then, to ensure they can still see the true full large image, have a new window open with the original image if you click the thumbnail. This way the hover doesn't break anything and large images can still be viewed as intended if they are, well, really large. xD

₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪ , Correct about editing. Since the templates are stored locally, there wouldn't be a way to update all posts that have the outfit that you would be editing. Maybe a better solution would be to have moved the outfit creation side to the profile, save them to a user key, and then allow for them to be attached to the post without a post key. Maybe something to think about for the future if we revisit this. As it could be improved greatly. Will look at the image issue tomorrow. Tag me if I forget.
