Twitter Profile Embedding In A Thread

Hello, I want to add a twitter follow button that links to a twitter profile to a thread I'm creating but everytime I add the BBCode twitter provides, what appears when I publish the thread is the code itself. It's because I want to embed the twitter profile of the account I am crediting for the translation in my thread. Is there any way I can add this follow button on my thread post? Thank you very much

admin -->>themes ------ standard and click on the custom pages, click on portal page (if you have one set up) and in the zones add an HTML text area and copy the twitter profile thing you want from twitter and paste it int the text area (as normal) and save.....voila you have your twitter profile for people to click on and follow...but that is only if you are an admin or owner of a forum.

I suddenly cannot see any twitter links either in posts I make or in posts from others.

I used to simply paste the tweet's URL as I create the post and would get the placeholder "your tweet will appear here" and, when I click to create the post, the full tweet would appear in the box.

In the last couple of weeks, I paste the URL (which now appears as a URL, only) and when I create the post, nothing is there.

I see the same "nothing" when others post a tweet... but if I quote their post, I CAN see the "your tweet will appear here" place holder in the quoted portion.

What have I done?  I've searched all through my profile and settings but cannot find anything to fix this.
