For me, the perfect summer meal is WATERMELON. And MORE WATERMELON.
I also like veggie hot dogs with sauerkraut. Mmm... though I can eat that all the time.

Even though I no longer live in Maryland we have steamed crabs and shrimp sent out every summer. It really is a taste of home as the seafood out here in Colorado does not compare with the east coast.

I love seafood!
But a summer-only kinda dish I'd usually make/get is a homemade potato salad. Doubly handy since it doesn't heat up the house on those super warm days. Some BBQ with mum's potato salad recipe and some corn on the cob is perfect for summer!
