Forum URL: european-war-4.boards.netI am exploring the possibility of having a new custom theme made specifically for my forum. This would be done by someone fairly proficient in web design but not familiar at all with proboards software. What would be the best way to go about this? What resources and help can I direct this individual to so as to give us a good start ? Also, when we move to Phoenix how hard would it be to update the theme to the new pb version 6?

Hi, saltin. If the designer is proficient in HTML, CSS, and Javascript the layout template system should be fairly straightforward to them as most of the things unique to it (variables, if statements, foreach loops) are common in Javascript. There's unfortunately no official guide on theme design for ProBoards v5 so I wouldn't be able to recommend any resources outside of what's already defined in the help guide. The theme functionality in the admin area of v6 is still a work in progress so we're not able to estimate a difficulty level for converting themes from v5 to v6 at this time.

Ok Brian , it sounds like I probably should wait for more v6 progress before deciding to proceed. Thanks for the input.
