Member has trouble logging on the forum

Hi there,

one of my members cant log on the forum by entering her username and password. She always has to use "Forgot password" to log on.
She´s not happy about it and I dont know why it only happens to her and not to the others.
Her username is Harriet Oleson in case that´s important to help with the issue.

Hello.

This sounds like they might be trying to use their Display Name to log in, rather than their Username. As Display Names can be changed, it cannot be used to log in. They need to make sure they are using their Username - which cannot be changed. Usernames cannot contain spaces, and given your statement above with the name they are trying, this makes me think they are trying with their Display Name.

I managed to find her on the forum and by hovering over her display name, the username came up as test.

See if she can log in using test and her password.

Please report back either way. That way, if it does get resolved, the Staff here will be able to definitively mark this as such. Otherwise, if you did not post back with the results (if resolved), then it may lead to wonderment as to whether the issue was actually resolved, or if you just had not the time to come back here to post. Have they informed you that they're still experiencing the issue? There's always the possibility that their offline life has temporarily taken precedence.

If it's the former the only thing I can really suggest that hasn't been proposed yet is clearing their browser's cookies and cache to eliminate that as a factor.
