How to make the recent post appear first

Hi, I need the recent posts in my thread to add to the beginning of the post list, rather than at the end of the post list. Can this be done by editing the Layout Templates, and if so how?

To make sure I am getting my message across and there's no confusion,  recent posts append themselves to the end of the post list, so what I need is code to make it appear first when you make a post, rather than at the end.

I've seen this request many times. The problem comes with pages. The code is only able to gather information from the posts present on the current screen. That means, if your thread spans 2 or more pages, it can only access the posts on page 1 -- it can't successfully reorder the entire thread because it can't access all the posts.

I believe I've seen this code made, I want to say by Todge? But it only works if the thread stays on page 1.

Hmm from looking around in my bookmarks, the only thing I found was
support.proboards.com/thread/596087
which is similar-ish in the type of action requested but not, obviously, what you want. xD
I think there's a plugin or code for reversing the order in the thread summary when looking at the posting page, too..
So a few things exist that are near but not exact. Perhaps they'll provide enough structure for another coder to reference to create your code, though? A starting base, as it were? =/

I found Peter 's code for reordering post summaries, so I edited it for myself to reorder the posts
