Here is a very helpful article that provides various ways for to permanently enlarge the font size on his computer screen. A temporary way is by using a magnifier which is included as a utility in Windows. It can be downloaded at this site if it's missing. Download Magnifier magnifier.en.softonic.com

stewie22 Tips:- 1- First board title: ********** Welcome to Grey-Members ********** Remove those symbols. It looks obnoxious. You can make this a Welcome section for new users to post their intro threads. 2- I think you can put the bigger version of the rules in the next post? 3- You should expand the General Discussion section, having only two forum boards on the forum is not very appealing. I would suggest 5 boards at the main forum page. 4- Try to think of a better site name, I think Grey-members is a bland forum name. 5- Add an image to your forum banner. 6- Give your active users username colours as a reward for their activity. 7- Remove the shoutbox. Hope this helps!

I’d think about a different name as has already been suggested. How about “Silver Surfers”? I believe that has been used elsewhere to denote older internet users.
I’d put the rules in their own category and lock them. Put a link to the rules in your signature and encourage other staff to do the same. Don’t have a huge list of rules just for the sake of it, and don’t break your own rules. If you say “No profanity”, don’t ever explore the grey areas. Be squeaky clean.
Don’t dictate how much posting someone must do. I’ve left forums for over a year and been welcomed back. Remember your members are people, not just names on a screen. What if someone has been seriously ill and comes back to find their membership has been terminated? It’s a fact of life that some will join and never post, but leave them the option.
Have some pertinent categories and boards within them, but don’t go crazy. You don’t want a load of empty boards. Essentially, find some structure.
Join some other forums and seek advice from the staff. If you see a feature you like, ask how to do it. Plenty of people will walk you through the steps, with screenshots if necessary.
