I Need Serious Assistance With Graphics

Hello! I am currently in the process of assembling a new forum (based on the foundations of an old one). The thing is, all of the images I currently have up are either public domain or imported from my old forum (like the background image). I really want to generate some excitement for this eventual reopening and, while I am restarting categories and boards from the past forum, I'm also going to put up new categories & boards and, most importantly, I'd love to completely overhaul the entire look this time. I'm asking for anyone talented with digital graphic design if they can help with a banner logo, a new background, forum icons, banner graphics, etc. The only art I know how to make is with a pencil and paper. 

I'm not greedy, however. If you can't do everything I'm looking for, I'll be happy with whatever you can offer.

The forum was originally started with zombie fandom as its foundation, but now I want to move away from the theme of zombies (a little) and focus more on a barren wasteland-type style, full of crumbling barricades, dark, endless nights and grey colors with just a touch of red here & there. Below is a sketch I did some years ago of a new background concept that never made the jump from paper to finished digital art:





Nowadays, I'd prefer no zombies in that image. But keep the old, crumbling wooden barricade, the red blood moon and maybe add something outside of that barricade to fill us with a sense of dread and impending doom. I want all visitors to the forum to feel like they're actually behind all those wooden planks, safe for a just short time.

I'm also open to ideas if you think it will make the theme better.

Firstly, your forum also needs to be viewable to guests before this is filled, as per the rules:

Forums need to be open to view and maintenance mode needs to be switched off. 

Secondly, I'll be honest: your request isn't clear. You mention what you want, then say it's not really something that needs to be done entirely, and then talk about this image that didn't get digitised, but then want it changed. If you're looking for help, I recommend adjusting your post.

The information that is going to be beneficial to anyone who would be filling this is factual. There's no need for backstory, or anything of that sort (it's completely irrelevant to what a designer needs to know). Just provide:

- The type of image you want (banner, sig, etc)
- The size of that image
- The colours you'd like -- specific hex codes are helpful, but a description works as long as you use tangible wording rather that feeling-oriented wording (eg: "a blue green" versus "a blue that makes you think of summer")
- The font, if any, plus a link to the font to download
- Multiple threads, instead of one thread, for each component (a max of 4 threads per person per forum at a time, as indicated in the requesting rules)

All that said though, it sounds like you're actually looking for a theme creator rather than one-off graphics assistance since your ultimate goal is to create a complete revamp. If that is the case, I recommend you head over to the Theme Request Board taking note of the sticky "Tips on Requesting" thread. (But that said, you might be waiting a while since your request is more in-depth than most, with the addendum of a potential digital render).

Also, as an aside: the chances of you getting someone to digitise your example image are almost zero. The number of people able to do something of that nature on this forum is very small, and of those capable skill wise the number of them willing to do so with the time to do it is virtually nonexistent and that's not the kind of request that gets filled on this specific board (but may be filled, should you request a theme and be lucky enough to get a volunteer who has that skillset).
