i can definitely say that imgur and flickr are not viable options; their TOS say that the service can not be used as a CDN for websites and forums.

Has anybody else been having problems with this plugin in the last few days? Whenever I try to upload an image with it, the icon just sits and spins endlessly. Another user has reported the same issue. Or is there something else I can try (like reinstalling the plugin or something).

At the time Peter wrote this plugin, vgy.me was accepting anonymous uploads and that's what this plugin is designed to do. If you look at the home page on their site (link), there is a new message:



So at the moment, this plugin will not be able to function as it did at the time of its creation. I don't know what Peter will do, if anything, to fix this.

Members will be prompted with instructions.

Once the user key is entered, it won't need to be entered again unless you change browser.

Yeah can everyone on the forum just use one account and plug in the same user key?

To those asking about 1 account for the forum...

I wouldn't advise having 1 account that is shared by your members. High activity on 1 account may get people IP banned.

Also I don't know what other privileges a user key has access too.

So yeah, don't recommend that at all.

For those who have vgy.me accounts and are having trouble logging in:

I emailed them and they were having problems with their server authenticating email addresses. They advised me to sign in with my user name and password and that worked for me.

Do I need to reinstall or somehow refresh the plugin? I'm still getting the spinning icon instead of the popup menu. Also, my board was created on freeforums.net, not proboards.com. Does that make a difference?

first thing first create account at vgy.me

then delete the old plugin then download to upload the new version of the plugin to the board

and just follow these instructions when are uploading image for the first time

it shouldn't matter since proboards owns freeforums.net
