Hey wolverineblues , I'd like to see the BBCode being used in posts that is bypassing the limits set by the CSS I gave you. Could you please quote one of those posts, (be sure your editor is in BBCode mode) and copy the contents of the quote? Then paste it into a post on this thread. Wrap the quote in [code][/code] tags. Thanks

Okay, I membered up so I could quote that post and see what's going on there. In the style modification in your Header we're telling it to set a maximum width (and height) of 600px. We're also specifying that as !important, meaning ignore changes to the maximum width which come later ( unless they're specified as !important.) The max-width: 20% specified for the img in the post is being ignored. (as it should be.) If someone wishes to scale down their image smaller than the maximum you have set they can use width (not max-width). They can't force it larger than your maximum that way, but they can make it smaller. It doesn't sound all that difficult to toggle the size by clicking but I don't know enough about JS yet to know for sure. This seems like a good little project for me to learn more about JS, but atm I'm dealing with a sick family member so I don't have the time or focus.

wolverineblues, If we use the pseudo-class active, we can change the style of the img element during the time while the mouse left-button is held down. That's not the same as click, but that's as close as we can get with CSS. Replace the style snippet in your GH which I previously gave you with this: <!-- Limit Image size: in Posts to 600px , in Quotes to 125px return to full size during mouse-down --> <style type="text/css"> article .message img { max-width: 600px !important; max-height: 600px !important; } article .quote_body img { max-width: 125px !important; max-height: 125px !important; } article .avatar_size_quote img { max-width: 35px !important; max-height: 35px !important; } article .message img:active { max-width: 100% !important; max-height: 100% !important; } article .quote_body img:active { max-width: 100% !important; max-height: 100% !important; } </style>

Thanks, so in this case a plugin would be required? Yeah, if you want to be able to toggle from reduced size to full size on click, without holding the mouse button, think a script or plugin would be needed.
