Sick

I'm sick right now and I try not to let it get in the way too much. The world does not stop just because i'm feeling unwell. That said after a certain point you can't keep going and have to rest. Once my chores are done if I don't have to work I am sleeping.
It also depends on what your sick with. Stuffy nose, head ache, coughing I can manage for a time till my work is done.
If I have fever and am puking my guts out non stop(like incapacitated in the bathroom), then no I probably am not leaving my house.
I get sick often enough , usually at least once a year. I would never get anything done if I didn't learn to just suck it up most of the time.

A Few weeks ago, I was dizzy, temp would jump between 98 and 101.5, Went to the ER, and they found nothing, just said it could be viral, and there is nothing they could do. From Tuesday to Tuesday I was sick with this. It sucked.

Theres a flu going around people at work are getting sick and calling in, even though I was puking I still sucked it up and went in. And there's the reason why everyone else at work got sick. Well done.

Theres a flu going around people at work are getting sick and calling in, even though I was puking I still sucked it up and went in. And there's the reason why everyone else at work got sick. Well done. As I said in my previous post. We have to wait 48 hours (from last puke/poop) before going into work. You're not a hero for going into work sick, you're a carrier! Even though your superiors may flame you for being off sick, your colleagues will (subconsciously) thank you for not spreading it....although they won't realise it. They may all talk about you behind your back for being off sick, but you have to make that moral decision. Your superiors and colleagues will never THANK you for coming into work sick. As they say "if you come into work sick? S.H.I.T. is your thanks." Stay home until you're well. You will not be praised for coming into work sick..but you will be blamed for spreading sickness.

Sick

I rarely get sick in a viral sense. I do get migraines a couple of times a month, though, and those take me down for a whole day. I used to have them once a week, but medication seems to have helped! Fingers crossed.
I had strep throat two years back. My daughter had it three days: 24 hours on antibiotics and she was done with it. I had it a week. I finally went in after 48 hours on antibiotics because my throat was nearly swollen shut and it was difficult to breathe. The doctor gave me a shot instead and it was gone two days later. I don't remember much of that week! I was so feverish and tired. I slept for most of it. I remember getting angry at my husband for taking away my blankets because I had the chills so bad. He read online that blankets make it worse and was trying to help, the poor guy.
I don't work when I have any illness. I used to work in a call center, and it really got under my skin when people showed up obviously harboring some death-virus on steroids. I stopped loaning out my office supplies to people like that. Despite the fact that Germ-X makes my hands break out with eczema, I was applying that stuff a couple times a day. I have a little one at home to protect as well! I hate seeing her sick. Breaks my heart.
Now I work from home and still refuse to work if I have a fever, only because I'm afraid that I'll make a brainfog mistake and cause pain for my clients. I have E&O insurance, but it's one thing that I'm happy to pay for and not use!
