Keeping in with the British theme, I would like the colours predominantly used to be red, white and blue (as you would see on the Union Jack). I'm not too fussed on the font. If there's anything else you need me to provide, please don't hesitate to ask.

Sorry yes, I'm after a banner. The background image I was referring to was the "British Television" bit - I could do with a higher quality image.
I could do without the lines but other than that it's good enough.

The reason I asked "what size" is because your forum is set to a fluid width. Images have to be a fixed width, so it cannot cover the whole length because the length is determined by the size of the user's screen. Similarly, "preferred" banner sizes are subjective as well when the forum is fluid in width. I've made the below banner 1100px in width, which should account for the smallest, most popular non-mobile resolution of 1366x768.
