Hi guys/gals! Just found out yesterday that my favorite new image host has an image upload plugin for Proboards that works great and wanted to share! Just make sure that before you download you select "Proboards" as the software type from the dropdown menu. 😉 imgbb.com/mod

Oh yeah, ImgBB is one I reviewed earlier when looking for alternative services and I threw that out right away because of the advertising links it included in the generated bbcode. They were weird advertisement links as well. This is why we removed the Simple Image Upload plugin. We felt it posed a security risk to our members. We reached out to them about this but they have not responded

Peter wrote a proper plugin for vgy.me which has become the go-to solution in the absence of the SIU plugin which was removed because of security concerns with imgbb . link

I haven't seen any adds in the bbcode on the imgbb plugin yet?

I haven't seen any adds in the bbcode on the imgbb plugin yet? And you probably won't for a good long while. But when you do, you'll find the links go to random places. In addition, you may experience popups, some of them outside the confines of your browser. I can't say with 100% certainty the issue is with imgbb itself and not the SIU plugin that was removed from the ProBoards Library, but anyone using code that comes from imgbb should be aware of the potential for problems, and the fact that initial absence of problems is in no way a guarantee that problems won't arise later.

I haven't seen any adds in the bbcode on the imgbb plugin yet? I reinstalled it on my forum to take a look. The links were inserted about 33% of the time. The link(s) get displayed under your image(s) at the bottom. Yes, you can manually delete the links. However, they do go to random, and sometimes very inappropriate places, some of which could be considered a ToS violation. I wouldn't recommend keeping it on your forum. Use this plugin: support.proboards.com/thread/657848/vgy-me-image-upload-plugin?page=1&scrollTo=7195003
