Softening The Affiliate Border?

Hi,

I admin on this forum. I want to change the border color of the Affiliate table to this #96c5e3 at the bottom of the forum. I also want the border 1px. I did a right click over the area and looked at INSPECT ELEMENT, but I can't find it on the style sheet to change it. Can you tell me where it is? I don't like the black border.

Dazzal,the only way to change the border color is to change the color theme!
i don't thing there is a way to put border 1px because there is no code to put it to activate the affiliate table! maybe there is but that's what i know and tried it

I edited the whole forum with black text per Catsmother's request. I'll wait for one of the coders, Ismail. I think there is a way.

Hi Dazzal

When you used Inspect Element in your browser, you probably noticed that div didn't have a class but did have a style attribute and the border was defined by
border:20px solid; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; /* Firefox */ -webkit-border-radius:4px; /* Safari */ padding:10px;
This is inline coding within the plugin. You won't find it anywhere in your Style Sheet. However, we CAN use the Style Sheet (or your Main Footer) to target that div.

The trick here will be targeting it as a child of an element that does have a specific class.

We'll use a CSS Combinator for child: >
And we'll follow the path down to that div from the div which has the class simple-affiliates-table-II.

You can add this to the bottom of your Style Sheet(s):

/* Border around marquee elements of Affiliate Table */
.simple-affiliates-table-II > div > table > tbody > tr > td > div
{
   border:1px solid #96c5e3  !important;
}

OR

you can add this to your Main Footer and it will have the effect regardless of theme.

<style>
/* Border around marquee elements of Affiliate Table */
.simple-affiliates-table-II > div > table > tbody > tr > td > div
{
   border:1px solid #96c5e3  !important;
}
</style>

I'll also tag aRMY83 as a courtesy, since it's his plugin that we're messing with, and he might have a better plan.

Yes, I did see that in INSPECT ELEMENT.

I added this to the main footer and it looks great. I will keep both codes.

The parts you are wanting to change would be contained within the plugin's own CSS, which is why you would not be able to find it in the forum's stylesheet! I have a feeling aRMY83 doesn't make his plugins open source either.

Edit: After loading the plugin in to my forum as a test, I have confirmed that his plugins are not open source.
