No it is not enough CrazyBoy most forums can take a long time. also Quality is more important than Quantity, what does that mean? @stormcloud70 Quality is how good it is, and quantity is how much it has.

CrazyBoy , Most forums takes much longer up to a year or more. Read Dazzal 's post -- what she posted I agree 100%. 1) On the one forum you have a member tell you that you are too pushy. -- most of what you post on that forum (one opened) you come off pushy. It turns people off and therefore loss of members (which you have a few already). 2) For a forum to be active (successful) it is what the owner/admin puts into it (that counts). That does not mean a theme and putting up a few forums and allowing members to post in them. You need to have an active role and participate in those conversations (posts) as well. 3) You have (I think I counted) three forums you are in charge of -- Maybe combine them into one to focus on one. Not sure about the one you have closed, but the two seem to be somewhat similar.) 4) I agree with everything Dazzal pointed out in her post. (including what Catsmother mentioned as well).

Beckea I agree with your comments as well. CrazyBoy Do you know what the word "diplomatic" means? It's here as follows: www.dictionary.com/browse/diplomatic Whats does Diplomatic mean? The definition of diplomatic is someone who can be sensitive in dealing with others and who can achieve peaceful resolutions or facilitate discussion. A person who doesn't take sides in a fight but who instead helps others to resolve their differences is an example of someone who is diplomatic. I think because of your background I feel you have learned to be "forceful" with people and it may be hard for you to be sensitive to others. It means "fellow feeling" and trying to put yourself in the other person's place, so you know how they feel. Not sure with the English language if you can figure out what we are trying to describe to you. You know how you "hurt" when someone says something "nasty" to you. You want them to be "nice" to you. That's how Ismail should treat others. Does that make sense? It's after midnight where you live, so I know you will read this in the morning. Also, what Becky said is true, if you have 3 forums, it's hard to keep up with. Most of us are better off only having one forum, so you can make it successful with interesting content, and active members. You pretty much have the same forum on all 3. Why would anyone want to post on all 3, when they are ALL the same. It's good to think long and hard about this.

If a forum has 10,000 posts and they're all in the gaming section, it's a turnoff. I want to see real topics about real things too. Have discussions on lots of different topics. You can even practice on forums where you are a member. Engage in discussion that's outside of the thread games to see what types of topics help make members interactive.

Look around the Internet for ideas -- what forums do you have? Many of us use the Internet to do searches on questions to ask (Questions of the Day) - take a forum and ask questions -- if you have a forum on books you could ask what they are reading currently or you could ask what movies they are watching or whatever it may be. But I would do searches and go from there. Do searches on FORUM QUESTIONS, FORUM GAMES -- I get a whole lot of my resources, information, help through searches (on Google or Bing). Do some research and see what you come up with It is not easy to keep a forum operating -- it is difficult. But you need to take the time and effort in searching out for these things. Maybe take some time and get to know your members and maybe that will get you some ideas.

CrazyBoy, I took a look at your forum rules. I agree with Beckea's post above in that you should use your own words. Also, as I am a veteran forum Moderator, I can tell you that your rules are an eyesore. What that means is, it is all crammed together and makes it difficult to read. I also noticed you used "forum" a lot, when the context is directing me to believe that you meant "board", so you have incorrect terminology in there. So, in addition to Beckea's suggestion that you need to re-word, or paraphrase, your rules, you should also make them look more organized and not all jammed together. You do not need to have every rule showing on a screenful - that is why browsers have scrollbars.
