Hello again, friend!
I saw your message on my end and I wanted to reevaluate the website. After I took another look at it, I was very pleased to see that you did put a lot more work into it and thank you for taking some of my suggestions. This one will be slightly different since it is my second time evaluation the website. There will be more
constructive feedback and ideas for this current project. Each time I critique, I will make it more professional. Some of things that I might point out may seem unfair at times, but I promise I am just trying to help you. I mean no offense to anything that I critique because I have been in the Admin's shoes before and I went to art school. I will professionally critique the website the way that will help the design work.
Second Impressions: Very impressed with the design of the entire website. The amount of work that was put in the second time around definitely had more heart in it. This appearance versus the previous one is by far 1000 times better than the last one and I would keep improving it.
Content: MUCH BETTER! There are a few nitpicks that I would like to point out as well.
A) The website boards needs more descriptions. Never leave a board blank.
B) The first category called, "My Site The Ouija Method" should be called something else. I appreciate that you changed the name of the category from "General" to "My Site The Ouija Method". However, I find this a tad bit redundant because right above that in the newsfeed has the exact same name as the category below it. Remove the link in the newsfeed and add more information to the newsfeed. Information such as:
The Ouija Method: Artistic, Spiritual, and Friendly Informative Website about the Ouija board (or something like that for the first title). You want to be able to tell your members and guests what this website is designed for. On the right track, just not on the money yet.
Who is the Admin? I would put the name of the Admin in the newsfeed so that people know who to message for help or questions. I know that there is a board that is designed for this, but as an Admin, there is a lot of time and devotion into a website. It's almost like a second job.
When was the website built? How old is it?
If you remove the link and add more information into the newsfeed, then keep the title of the first category: "My Site The Ouija Method". However, remove the following phrase from it: "My Site" because this creates unnecessary questions that can be answered in the newsfeed or in the general category section. In the professional writing world, when there are
In the first category the following boards should be applied:
1.
"The Platform" (this board can be where you have sub-boards called, "Hello" (introductions) and "Goodbye" (leave of absence) like in the board setup) (you can also have the website rules as well in this board)
Sub-boards: "Hello" (introductions), "Goodbye" (leave of absence), Ouija Method History (the reason why you wanted to create this website and what it is designed for)
2.
"The Pointer" (this board can be the discussion board. any board that involves talking should go inside this board as a sub-board).
Sub-boards: "Comments" (this board can be for comments about the website, get feedback from members) (whenever you have a comment board remove the title of the website. it creates redundancy), "Random Questions", "Questions" (this is the board that you can have questions about the website). Since the pointer on the ouija board allows you to ask questions, this is one of the perfect names for this board.
3. "The Other Side" (this is where you can have general discussions. I still highly encourage website designers to drop 'general' from the title of any board. when general is in the name, it makes it look unprofessional and less creative)
Sub-boards: "Empath", "Funny Fun", "Random" (this can be the new general discussion board and you can put something like this in the description: this is for any kind of talk. whether its sports, game shows, teen drama, vaping drama, ect, "Signs" (this could be where you talk about signs like Aquarius or Aries), "Spirit World" (you don't need two boards that have the same function. put all the question boards inside "The Pointer" board.
4. "Rules" (this is where you can place the rules of the website such as PG-13 and things like that). If you want some more help on rules, here check out my link:
teentitanroxrp.proboards.com/board/131/rulesGraphics: I wanted to discuss the graphics on the previous critique, but there was not enough information at the time. However, with the new layout I can definitely give some good feedback. I know I keep repeating myself, but this version of The Ouija Method really does look fantastic! It looks like an actual website.
A) Banner: The banner is beautiful. Did you design it yourself? I give you tons of credit if you did.
B) Text Design: The text font is definitely better and feels more mystical for the website. Definitely keep the green and the white writing.
C) The skin design of the website is very professional with the choice of colors and the layout. Definitely better!
Advertisement Ideas: Don't forget to advertise the website on Facebook groups with ouija type topics and see if you can get some more insight from others that specialize in this type of field. Never be afraid to research and ask questions.
Last Few Notes: I'm not saying that you have to implement my ideas in any way (since I am not an expert). I am just giving some honest feedback. I hope you liked the feedback and I wish you all the success in the world!
