Hi everyone, I'm new here.
I'm looking for some help to get the HTML code for my forum to be able to place it in to my website - this is almost foreign to me so if anyone knows what I'm trying to talk about I'd appreciate the help.
Thank you so much
Laura

Thank you so much Laura Hi lauralea82When placing an external element into a website, an iframe is used. However, ProBoards forums can not be placed in an iframe. It doesn't sound as if what you want to achieve is possible but I've alerted a ProBoards Admin, just in case.

Thank you, the website support didn't think proboards supported this either but said to ask just incase.

lauralea82, just confirming that Retread is correct in that our forums cannot be embedded into a website.

lauralea82 , just confirming that Retread is correct in that our forums cannot be embedded into a website. Ah that's a shame but thank you for your quick responses and for understanding what I was saying =)

lauralea82, our forums are extremely customizable. You could style your forum to match your website and create links that connect the two giving them the 'feel' of being on the same site.

Thank you Scott, I did wonder this as an option - that should be quite straight forward shouldn't it?

Thank you Scott, I did wonder this as an option - that should be quite straight forward shouldn't it? You can do quite a bit with the Colors & Theme Creator to give your forum a similar appearance to your website. From your Admin panel, navigate: Themes> Admin Home> Themes> Colors & Theme CreatorThen click on Customize Theme ColorsA popup will appear which will allow you to change the colors in various areas. If you need to go deeper than that, you might want to create a thread in the Request a Theme sub-board of the Themes board. Be sure to include a link to your website as well as a link to your forum.
Regarding the links, the link back to the website can be as simple as you like or it could require more finesse if you're going for a more finished look. It really depends on what locations you want it to appear on your forum and what sort of look you want it to have. If you want to have it show on every forum page, you might put the link in the Global Header. We can help you with that, if you supply the link to the website. Regarding the link from the website to the forum, we can give you the basics if you supply the link to the forum but would not be able to advise on how you can embed that on your website. The support team for your website could probably help you with that.

Regarding the link to the forum from the website; I have set this up very basic and happy with how it is for now. I hadn't thought about linking the website to the forum. I have changed the look a little and will play around with this. Thank you again for your help both =)
