Uploading images with invisible backgrounds

When I tried File --> Export, it only allows me to pick a location and I have no option for the Alpha screen that you mentioned earlier.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but got swamped at work this week.  

My current iMac info. is as follows --  Mac OS High Sierra: Version 10.13.6

I last installed the latest updates a couple of weeks ago. My computer is almost 9 years old, and it works without any issues except for the invisible background problem I've had as of late (since last fall). I suppose I will need a new iMac soon, but compared to the crashing PCs I used to have, it works so well that I've been reluctant to replace it. However, if it seems like this image issue is due to an outdated system, I will definitely consider buying a new computer once I get a refund on my taxes.

I was looking to see if others have had the same issue finding the toggle with your specific OS version as the information I gave you initially was several years old.

Let's try one more thing; download GIMP (free) and create a transparent background image. Save the image, then upload to PB or Host 2 and see if the transparency saves.

If it uploads with the transparency, then that should a) solve your issue and b) point to the problem being an update with the online editor you have been using.

If it uploads with the transparency, it may point to a system issue.
