Forum URL: bsn.boards.net/I think an ad on the forums is opening a fake warning message. This has happened multiple times today, and I can't tell which ad is doing it. The warning has this URL in the navigation bar:

Hello, Thank you for reporting this. ProBoards has a system in place which automatically detects these rogue ads and removes them, so most of the time no further action is required. In the meantime, however, it would be very useful if you could provide the information outlined by Scott below so that the admins can further look into this for you if required. The information that does help is: - the country you are in - your OS (Mac, Windows, Android, etc.) - the browser you are using Since redirects usually targets users in a certain region, or using a particular device, or browser - having this information allows us to filter through reports and zero in on the ad that is the culprit.

Make three separate reports, one for each of the three ad locations. Indicate the ad might be generating a popup. Feel free to reference this thread in the report. While redirect ads will trigger an automatic flagging of the ad when you hit the back button, I don't think popups will.

I'll try that if it happens again. The last time I saw this, the back button didn't work. Hitting the back button actually removed the popup message, and then the countdown on the page started (obviously fake), so I end up closing the window.
It happens about once a week, and is not nearly the omnipresent error it was when this first started.

Let me know if this is not the case so that we can narrow down the cause further.
