Forum URL: thegardenersshed.proboards.comThis has happened before so not sure if it is due to the change over or if it is the same thing happening that has happened before. When I copy from on thread to another I don't get the url to read more etc. etc.
Thanks

Just as an aside, the links to Proboards TOS etc need to be visible on your forum ,and at the moment they appear hidden.

Hi,
I'm not sure what "change over" you're referring to? It sounds like you're referring to the automatic copy+paste "read more" link which is a toggleable feature. Admin>Settings>Forum Settings>Enable Tynt.

Michael, I was referring to going to HTTPS. Thought maybe that was causing the problem. Just checked and I have yes in TYNT. I assume that setting goes for every theme and there it nowhere that it has to be done in each theme. It isn't working even on the original default theme that I haven't made changes to.
Thank you.

Hi, This is a global setting and not per-theme. There is a minimum amount that needs to be copied in order to get the "Read More:". I tested this out on your forum and it worked as expected. Here is an example:

Michael, I am replicating the OP's issue on their forum. I've tried copying and pasting from 3 different threads. None of paste results included the "read more" link. I am using Firefox and viewing their forum as a guest.

I am replicating this issue on your forum on my phone. But if you have tynt enabled already, maybe a red will have to help you here.

I am using Firefox and viewing their forum as a guest. I've tested this repeatedly in Chrome (latest build) and Firefox (also latest) without any issues. Does your browser contain any extensions or add-ons that could be interfering? Edit: I also tested this without any issues inside Chrome (mobile) for android.

Odd, the second two were both test cases for me that worked without issue. This testing is being done as a guest and not a logged in member, not that Tynt should make any distinction there. Are you copying the entirety of all of the posts? There is a "minimum length" applied to Tynt so that if you're just trying to copy out a word or phrase you won't end up with a bunch of extra stuff.

I'm copying a significant amount of text. Retest of thegardenersshed.proboards.com/thread/11778/teacup-gardenResult: Here are some pics of my little garden I made at my garden club meeting last night. Mine isn't a true teacup but the others used an actual teacup turned on it's side and glued to the saucer. Some just glued the cup right side up onto the saucer. ---- Retest of thegardenersshed.proboards.com/thread/11752/happy-birthday-bet?page=1&scrollTo=129652Result: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope it's a good one! Thanks for the new St. Patrick's Day theme. I just made the exchange from V. Day. Grammy ---- Retest of the one that worked: thegardenersshed.proboards.com/thread/4573/voice-recognitionResult: I have been doing some research on voice recognition for Windows. From what I can figure it is available on windows starting with 7. In the control panel you will find speech recognition. Open it and follow the installation directions. Help links Windows 7 and 8.1 How to use speech recognition support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14213/windows-how-to-use-speech-recognition Windows 10 How to use speech recognition support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17208/windows-10-use-speech-recognition Windows Speech Recognition Commands support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12427/windows-speech-recognition-commands Even if you don't know all of the commands you have the opportunity to work with the keyboard at the same time. It would reduce the amount of typing. Unfortunately anyone who is using an Apple product I am not help. ---- So, now the one that worked previously, did not work in my retest. I have access to other browsers and other computers. I will see if I can produce different results there.

OK there is some sort of issue here. I have tried both Firefox and Chrome. All add ons are disabled. I have run malware rebooted the system, even tried a different computer and it is not working. I have been at if for an hour with no luck. I even deleted every piece of software I have added to this computer in the past 2 weeks.
Another issue is the setting for permission globle as guests aren't suppose to be able to reply or create a post yet it appears that some who have been responding have been doing that. I have also tried on a different computer with no luck. I also have more than one account that I use to test things that don't have admin rights and they don't work either.
Thank you.

Your forum is secure. I'm copying from your forum and pasting to this forum. I should still receive the "read more" link when I paste, but in most scenarios, it's not happening. I performed tests on my work computer and my personal computer. I tested with different browsers. The results have been different every time. Currently, I cannot get the "read more" to paste with anything that I'm copying. Is this something that all of your members are experiencing, or is it just you?

This is the thread I have them working on link
I have added a couple of new themes but I have checked them all and the results are the same.
Thank you

Hi,
Are either of you using an ad-blocker of any variety? Tynt is treated as an advertisement and ad-blockers can affect it.
