Forum URL: gooroosgruntz.proboards.comI have just taken the time to upload several images (mostly posting buttons, etc.) which show in the admin area. But none of the new images show up (so far) on my forum when I tried a test post.
Is there a verification process (checking for malware, or some such) before the replacements are made?

GooRoo, images upload immediately. Exactly what area did you upload the images to?

GooRoo, images upload immediately. Exactly what area did you upload the images to? I used the admin Themes/Theme Manager/Basic/images ... but only uploaded to 'Basic' and am probably relegated to 'Default', so do not see any changes. I will repeat the process for 'Default' ... after lunch.

GooRoo , images you upload to a theme are specific to that theme only. If you want to save yourself some time it is possible to 'copy' over the images from one theme to the other so you don't have to upload them all again to the other theme. 1. Go to Admin > Themes > Theme Manager 2. Click on the name " Basic" and then click on the ' Images' tab. 3. At the top you will see "Template Options" with 2 buttons next to it. 4. Click on the Export button. 5. In the popup box, tick the image sections you wish to have copied over to the other theme. 6. Click the Export Images button to complete the process. (Since you only have 2 themes, the export automatically chooses the other theme to export to.) Let me know if you have any questions.

I did not find alt text for smileys (emoticons) and so only have a little over half of them replaced. (The image displayed when I choose 'default' is not distinctive enough to tell what it is supposed to be, save for such as 'tongue;.) And trying to provide an image (which was 'celebrate') for "Forum Age" also is beyond me.
This is far more work than I was prepared to put in on a forum that has run flawlessly for over 16 years, only marred by version changes.
