With the demise of the plugin Simple Image Upload and the recent added difficulty of using the vgy.me replacement, a new plugin in need. Our forum depends on it rather significantly. I have found an image hosting site that looks like it will work well, as it does not require creating an account before uploading.
WIll this work as a replacement for imgbb or vgy.me?

It looks like that site isn't using SSL, so that would be a problem. I don't know much about what would be required but having seen two attempts at writing a plugin by a skilled coder unfold, it seems there are at least three things they look for. 1 - SSL (https). 2 - Anonymous uploads accepted. 3 - The host provides an API.

I started work on a script and hope to release it soon. Stuck on some portions of the ProBoards interface. I'm working through it.

Friend helped finish the code and tests look great. I'll be uploading a final version tonight
Sorry, I am on my phone and Alpha skin isn’t very mobile friendly for replies. I just got released from the hospital so on my way home which is why I can’t finish it now.
The image host will be using nickpic (A recommended ProBoards Resource). It requires an account. But you don’t have to set it up in your profile. The first time you use the script it’s ask you to make an account.
Full album support, mobile support, descriptions, quick reply and wysiwyg support, private images, delete your own images. Forced HTTPS!!! All images have the same subdomain unlike many of the others. We found a way to store all 5.1 million images on the same server. This will let you use the image plugins like smilie plugin etc that require the same domain.
100% ad free experience for ProBoards users. The uploader has CSS options so you can make it match your site theme. However it is branded with a nickpic logo.
Uses async to communicate to a PHP API which will store your image on a powerful CDN with over 200 POP locations. So your rural members like Australia, Asia, Africa, South America get the fast speeds. All data stored on servers in California. Nickpic is Californian. Full compliance with CalOPPA. We can provide a personal info export at any time.

We are looking forward to trying it out! Thanks leif . Thank you! It is technically ready now! But I'm programming some CSS options into it so you can color it I can shoot you an earlybird version right now if you'd like. Full disclosure: I own nickpic.host and we exclusively cater to storytellers, designers, and RPGs. When Imgur banned ProBoards/Jcink we opened up to all forums. As long as you don't make a profit off of us, we're free to use.

I have attached a beta version. There's still a few more features I want to add. But, you can have the basic image hosting now with buttons appearing. I'm working on "smart button placement" now to make it blendend, or be next to add attachment while making that a dropdown selection. You can edit colors, the button style, and what kind of image size gets linked on the forum/inserted. I will be updating it so you can set maximum sizes, custom hex colors, etc. Edit: Updated attachment with newest version. 1.1.3 fixed some underlying issues. Submitted to plugin library. Scott/Brian checked it out earlier today too on an older version and offered some amazing feedback. You must have an account with nickpic.host if you have one already, just login! nickpic.host doesn't allow guest uploads for spam reasons. I temporarily disabled email validation right now to make this transition easier for you all. If I'm not on ProBoards hit me up in my PMs for my discord

Thank you. It will have to wait until tomorrow however. Sorry! Sounds good. I am working on a new version now already. Very tired so I’ll finish it soon the above version will work for your needs. I already got the new version to match buttons and skin style automatically; just trying to troubleshoot why buttons are showing up twice when placing them on the wysiwyg page,

I installed v1.0.0, hit create thread and saw 3 buttons. It prompted me to create an account, but I never received an email (waited over 1/2 hr). On any account signup dialog, I appreciate a 2nd password confirmation box and/or the option to see what I have entered (it's not that uncommon for me to mis-type something).
Be back in a few hours...
