A large number of members of civviestreet.proboards.com/forum are saying they are having extremely slow loading times and delays uploading images. With the first reports I suggested clear cache routine thinking it was their machines. Now there is too many reports to think it's down to individuals and is possibly proboards end.

Hi I couldn't view the forum because it is closed to guests, but the lack of other reports doesn't suggest a problem at the moment. Do you have anything else loading on the page from an external source, such as a chatbox, a location map or stat counter etc which may be affecting the loading? The ProBoards team will check things their end too, and see if they can see anything causing the slowness for your members.

Hi, Neither myself nor Scott have had any slow loading on this forum at all. Is there any specific pages that seem to be slow compared to others?

Not all members have slow loading issues, at the moment it is about a 50/50 split. I myself have no issues and have made various suggestions. The main problem after the forum loads (slowly) is creating threads and posting along with uploading photos. Someone said it took 21 seconds to upload an image.

Geographical area? Browser? Security feature (ad-blocker, extension, firewall)?

This is one report but they all have a similar thread. I suggested most of what you said except for ad blocker and extension. All who have problems are based far and wide using all platforms and devices. Any advice on extensions. Thanks. Report. For me clicking on any of the pages results in them being very slow to open. This is the same with my Samsung and lenovo tablets. (I don't use a laptop). When trying to load any of the pages the progress bar goes to 3/4's , the header loads and then the adds load. After that it can take up to 3 min for the contents of the page to load. So for instance click on recent threads and it takes up to 3 min to load, click on a topic, another 3 min. Click on reply another 3 mins and so it goes on

If you could have this user open the Network tab (F12 in Chrome for the console, then the Network tab) and just check and see if there are any files that are taking a really long time to load, that should give us an indication of where the problem is. To test extensions you should be able to just temporarily toggle all of them off and see if the issue is still persisting. If it seems better then toggle them on one-by-one while refreshing until the issue reappears to locate your culprit.

Hi guy's, I don't know if this is relevant, but around about the same time frame, when issues on loading were first reported, there was also an issue with clicking on, and increasing the size of phots posted on the forum. In fact they get even smaller and this still persists now. Pkts.

As a side note I would appreciate people not encouraging others to use adblockers. Advertisements are how we're able to provide you with a free forum. If you would like to not have advertisements there is ad-free and PB+ which is personal ad-free across all PB forums.

Hi, I'm seeing the image as larger. Do you have the page zoomed out? We don't host the image so what size the image is displaying as at the source has nothing to do with ProBoards.

Yes, it is showing as just slightly larger now, but they have been showing as very much smaller, so as to be virtually unviewable.
I understand the issue with the original phot, but that's about as far as my understanding goes I'm afraid.
Marty D, whom Mike referenced in an earlier post, has just posted on the thread that when he clicked through to this site, (support), that he had no lag whatsoever, if this helps you any.
ps The suggestion to use an Adblocker was only in an attempt to isolate the issue.

Hi there. My name is Marty Dowling and I have been asked to discribe to you the problem that I am experiencing with our proboards page. 1. For the last two weeks I have been experiencing a massive slow down of the page fully loading, when clicking on the page link it will open to approx two thirds and then stall. The page header and the advertising load immediate but the contents will take then up to 3 minutes to fully load. . 2. After that every page on the site can take up to 3 minutes to load. 3. For instance.....open site page = 3 minutes. Open Recent Posts = 3 minutes. Open topic post = 3 minutes. Reply to topic = 3 minutes. Post reply = 3 minutes. 4. I am use one of two Samsung tablets or a lenovo tablet all with the same problem. 5. My browsers are Google and Google Chrome. 6. I have tried the Opera Browser without improvement. 7. I have tried clearing the Cache and device maintance, adblocker and checked for Malware, no improvement. 8. No other Web page I use has this problem, including another forum hosted by proboards. 9. The link to proboards support posted on this our forum works perfectly. 10. The problem from my end is that the page is almost to slow to use. And it's not just me over 50% of the site users are experiencing the same problem. Further to this....i do not own a laptop so could not do as suggested and press F12 but then I had a brain wave and borrowed my granddaughters. I logged on to OAMAAM forum page and then pressed F12. Please see attached photos for the result. It does mention "tens of seconds of delay in loading". Sorry about the quality. Please bear in mind in replying with any possible solution that I use a tablet and not a laptop or PC. Cheers Marty Attachments:

Cheers Marty I'm seeing those same console errors but what we want to look at is under the Network tab once you have F12 open. Once you've got that open reload the page and see if there is anything in particular that is taking a long time to load. I suspect that there is a specific file thats taking a long time to load and that is the source of the issue.
