Forum URL: naskeregion.proboards.com/If this should be chucked under theme help I totally understand and I apologize for posting in the wrong spot. / So I'm trying to add a basic table under the affiliates spot on my forum. I've tried chucking the code into the board-specific header, but it places the table under the advertisement banner instead of the affiliate table. Would I have to fiddle around with something in the theme's style sheets, or is there someway I could throw a line of basic coding into the board-specific header, followed by the table? This is the table I'm trying to put into my header: <table width="350px" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" align="center" class="bordercolor">
<tr>
<td class="titlebg" width="100%" align="center">
<strong>Dear Advertisers...</strong>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="100%" class="windowbg2" vAlign="top" align="center">
text to come, basic advertising rules, etc. </td>
</tr>
</table>

</table> Sagamohr, When you place something in a Header, the default location is below the banner ad. When you place something in a Footer, the default location is above the bottom ads. If you put your coding into the Board Footer instead, that will get you close. I believe it will place it above the Affiliates table, but that might depend on which Affiliates plugin you're using. You could write a script to flip the positions of the Affiliate table and the coding you put in the Board Footer but unless the positioning crucial, I don't think you should bother.

Hi Retread , thanks for the answer! My affiliates table isn't a plug-in, but coded directly into the Forum Wrapper of my theme. I would love to have this table ONLY shown in my Advertising board, under that affiliate table... would I have to use/should I use the Announcement ( www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/2005 ) plugin? I was considering it, but I wasn't sure if it would fit what I'm trying to accomplish. No, that plugin won't work haha.

My affiliates table isn't a plug-in, but coded directly into the Forum Wrapper of my theme. oic. That complicates matters. I suppose you could put your coding in the Forum Wrapper. But you'll have trouble writing a conditional such that it only appears in a certain board. You could use the $[title] template variable to determine if the title is the same as the title of the board. That would cause the coding to appear ONLY when you're viewing the index page of the particular board.

(please let me know if double posting isnt allowed) Retread - i found a plugin that may work for what im trying to accomplish! www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/1253 i will edit this post to let you know. EDIT #1: No, again- places the table under the advertisement space, instead of under the affiliates. (i placed it in the Header, rather than forum wrapper.) EDIT #2: I got the table under the affiliate table, but again can't seem to make it appear only when viewing the advertisement boards. FINAL EDIT: Nevermind, I actually found a plug-in that does exactly what I needed...... Oops. Sorry. Please consider this thread solved!!

EDIT #2: I got the table under the affiliate table, but again can't seem to make it appear only when viewing the advertisement boards. If your coding is in the Forum Wrapper, you can place it within this conditional: {if $[title] == 'BOARDTITLE'} YOURCODING {/if} Replace BOARDTITLE with the exact wording of your board title, as it appears in the Navigation tree when viewing the board index. This is case-sensitive.

No worries about the time. It's best to be sure you have the situation sorted before you signal the all-clear.
