So I just started playing and getting into video games pretty recently, like 2 years ago. I have played Call of Duty and Forza since 2010 (Black Ops 1 got me into games entirely) and that's pretty much all I played until ~2018 when I got a new Xbox One and a new powerful PC. I've continued with CoD (I got really into Blackout), Forza and Madden. Before all that I did play RuneScape, OSRS back in like 2006-2008 and that is seriously my favorite game of all time!
Lately I've been playing the hell out of some Civ VI (my first 4x game) which has my most hours on Steam at 197, 2nd most hours is Cities Skylines at 160 hours and then The Witcher 3 at 8 hours. I started Assassin's Creed IV Blacxk Flag, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V and Fallout 4 (all on PC) but have 2-4 hours on each. Meaning, I started but never finished. I seem to not really enjoy 1 player campaigns or single player RPGs. I kinda suck at them too, I never know what I'm supposed to be doing or where I'm supposed to be going. I really love the open worlds and graphics, but I get bored with the story. The Witcher 3 I'm still enjoying and just played yesterday (will probably fire it up today too), but I do suck at it and I die a lot before I can finally kill the monsters. I also think it was too many cutscenes, but I am determined to finish this game.
So knowing all that, which game do you think I should also try to finish after The Witcher:
Red Dead 2 Fallout 4 GTA V Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
AND which game do you think I should purchase? Something similar to Runescape's mmo aspect (I loved mining and fishing so I could sell everything and buy cool looking armor, also loved the huge number of other real players) and the open world of Witcher et al and decent graphics if possible. I've heard Elder Scrolls Online might be a good choice? I have no interest in WoW
Also, what games have you been playing lately and how did you like the games I've named? They seem to be all the popular ones haha. Anyone pumped for Cyberpunk 2077? The release got pushed back to September but I'm really looking forward to that one. Might upgarde my graphics card for that one.

Oh god, that's a solid lineup you got there. If you like pirates and customizing your own ship, Black Flag is incredible. GTAV is an absolute god of a game. Red Dead is GTA in the wild west. Fallout is Fallout.
There's a game coming out for the PC that was originally released for PS4 called Horizon Zero Dawn, I definitely recommend it! My favorite of the 2017 releases.

If you like shooters and battle royale style, PUBG is literally the only game I play.
It's definitely one of those game that takes time to get good at, but it's a lot of fun. I play on Xbox, and each system has it's own set of challenges, with PC being the toughest.

Yeah these are the games I've heard about most and I've looked at gameplay vids and liked them...especially the open world aspect again. I just watched some gameplay for Horizon Zero Dawn and that looks pretty sweet too, really pretty. I bought Fallout76 a few hours ago for my Xbox since my buddy said he could show me the ropes, so I have 3 friends showing me around and giving me guns and it's fun! It's really pretty too and I love the world and how much detail and customization there is. If you like shooters and battle royale style, PUBG is literally the only game I play. So CoD Blackout was my first Battle Royale genre game. I took to it pretty quickly and am slightly okay at it haha. I tried Apex and played it occasionally, but I didn't like it as much as BO. Tried Fortnite and found it goofy. Never tried PUBG though...I'll download it now that I got a hard drive for my Xbox.

Whenever you want to play, add me: Schoolinkid We can drop into the training grounds and get you familiar with the game.

Right on dude, I'll probably try it out this weekend. Have you tried other BRs and what do you think of them? I stopped playing COD years ago, and haven’t really tried it since. I also can’t stand just the look of Fortnite. So I stick strictly to PUBG.

It's old school now, but I'm teaching my first born how to play the original HALO. It's amazing how fast you can forget how to play something you used to love.

Of the games you mentioned, GTA V has one of my favorite stories in a game (Second only to The Last of Us), so that gets my vote for what you should finish next!
Looking at the lineup of games you have liked traditionally, with racing and sports games, you should give Rocket League a shot if you haven't already. I haven't played it much recently, but it's probably the game I've spent the most hours with on the Xbox.

Just stumbled upon this thread and saw that you've played some pretty cool games like Call of Duty, Forza, Madden, and Civ VI. Nice! If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely check out Red Dead Redemption 2. It's an open-world game with amazing graphics and a killer story.
