Welp, I was wrong.Apparently, the Buccaneers and the Chargers are his main suitors, but an announcement about his new team won't be coming immediately. Of course, Reddit wants him to go to the XFL. It's going to feel weird seeing New England with a new quarterback. Who will they win 6 Super Bowls with this time!?

While it's not uncommon for NFL players to move from team to team (some willingly, some not), it would be weird for a while to see Brady playing for another team. Right now Tom Brady is synonymous with the Patriots. Though I guess it wouldn't be much different than Peyton Manning going from the Colts to the Broncos. Personally I think he should just retire (though I could live with him joining the XFL). But perhaps that's just me being a Bills fan.

I just don't see how people want their younger QB with more potential for the future to be replaced by him. Never thought i'd see so much of a market for such an older QB.

Depending on the team, it may not be a matter of replacement, but rather grooming, having a seasoned QB to work with a younger QB to bring out their full potential.

He has never "chased the money" at 15 million a year (it does sound ridiculous to say that doesn't it?), so I doubt he is going to start now. Compare him to - - - -> "Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who recently signed a $140 million..." Tom is/rather was, ranked 18th as far as paychecks went.

This is going to blow up in everyone’s faces spectacularly and it will be Brady’s biggest career blunder.
Brady’s good, no doubt, but he’s just a crucial part of a delicate machine full of other crucial parts. We saw what happened when Gronk left and Brady was no longer throwing darts at a human billboard. Do the Buccs or Chargers even have an Edelman at the very least? I know they don’t have a Belichick.
Neither Brady nor Belichick were anything spectacular before they came together under the Patriots banner, so it’ll be really interesting to see how this plays out. Who’s ego will be stroked the most at the end of the season? Will Brady prove to be worth the price or will Belichick be left with the knowing scowl? Maybe it’ll just be deflated balls all around, who knows? Find out next season—same Pats time, same Pats channel (or not)!

I just am not a fan of the Bucs dishing out a ton of money on a older QB when they have a decent QB on the roster who lead the league in many stats last year.

I just don't see the upside or point of this. Is he willing to be a mentor and develop a younger QB? Would he be okay losing a starter spot? Otherwise, what team would want him except the desperate ones, and why would he want that?
I think he should have stayed in New England and mentored someone there. It would have been understood. Fans wouldn't mind it. I imagine he would have an easier time mentally stepping back there. Of course, he did have that miracle comeback to beat the Falcons a few years ago, so crazier things have happened.

I think he's got some left in the tank. I would have thought going to the Colts would have made more sense since they have a strong offensive line perfect for a guy like Brady. They also have some good receivers and a decent defense. But, I guess the interest wasn't there and I think Brady and Arians hit it off.
I'm just glad he's not coming to the Redskins. I don't know what I'd do if they started winning.

He could be a good back up for Kansas city Laughable. I keep hearing how his goal was to avoid the AFC so he didn't have to play against KC or Bal.

So what...? Because I'm a woman my little bit of input is going to be ignored ScottCool or did you have other reasons? If you've been around here long enough you'll know that I've been the only one loving and following the Pat's since wayyyyy before Tom Brady! (go Drew Bledsoe!) I've been through thick and thin, when they screwed Connecticut (my home state) and through the horrible horrible rumors.

He should have retired - last season was proof of that. He needs his well-oiled machine around him and with a new team it's going to take too long for him to grow that machine again - then he may retire as an 'old' joke. Thank goodness I'm a Patriots fan and not just a Brady fan. Yes, he did some amazing things, but he didn't do all of them alone. The Pats have gone from the bottom before (if that is where they end up) and I just hope I live long enough to see it happen again.
