Forum URL: animationlessons.proboards.com/Being a graphic site with tons of artist permission, I often have to store pspimages in the site called Box. app.box.comLet me explain, if I am offering something to my members to use and it is stored in Box, I give them a "share" link which up until yesterday worked perfectly with no hitches. This is something I have used for over 8 years. But what is happening now is if I give them a link, in the message area of my proboard site, the url that comes up is something wierd ui2.awin.com/closedmerchant.php?mid=12448&aid=85386 and it says that the link is not active. This is the shared link. app.box.com/s/3b3n2nwoy9yfje5r1jd2v3p1z7nem5y4 But the quirky think is if one copy and pastes this link into a browser tab, it works perfectly, or if the link is e-mailed and the link in the e-mail is clicked it goes to the download area. I have changed nothing in my probards site. And the box site is a secure site (that was the first thing I checked) As I said, I have used this method for over 8 years and this is the first time I have encountered a problem. I contacted the Box site and while I checked different browsers and cleared catch and cookies eyc....I also tried this alternate method. Has there been some change in Proboards lately that I am not aware of? Thanks for any assistance, it is always greatly appreciated. Huronna

Hi It looks like you have added the https to the links in the post. Do you have a link to a post where it exhibits the problem? Craig

Sorry, i think i may have misunderstood you previous post. They are working ok for me, so i thought you fixed them to work.
In which case, could i ask you to try in a different browser, or in an incognito window, and see if you experience the same problem.

I have now asked all my members to try the links in that post and to tell me what happens, if they get to the download or do they get the same message, then to tell me their browser and what security system they are using? What I don't usderstand is this is only happening with this one link all others work fine

bigballofyarn...the box account is mine and I own everything in the account. The content was not removed and there are no expirations on anything. AND this just started to occur a couple of days ago. Previously I has no problems with it at all and none of my members did either

Maybe AWIN has a policy against hotlinking or direct linking. Maybe your links were receiving too much traffic and the links were disabled.
None of the links in your forum's post worked for me. So, that was just a thought I had.

Hi,
All the links appear to be working correctly for me, at first the first one gave me the same issue but it seems to be resolved now?
Is this still an issue for you? It may be Viglink related.

So far three members on my site have responded. Three that use Chrome said the links went to the inactive thing, while the one person who said he used Firefox said he got them with no problem.
What is Viglink?
