I saw to this forum some thread with the question I have to put it. It is about Tos and Pg-13. I don’t understand that complicated therms and I wanted a more concrete explications.
If I have a forum based on role play character games and an user write a bedroom scene what kind of fragment is allowed to be post on that forum and what kind of fragment are not allowed? Can you write me a fragment that are not allowed to be posted and a fragment that are allowed?

Hi,
We ask that any adult content is kept off the forum.
Using the guideline of what you would see in a PG-13 movie is a good place to start. Context matters. If you think something crosses that PG-13 line it would be best to simply not post it.

I don't watch to a movie that is Pg-13. The terms of Pg-13 seems to me confused and complicated. If some one can write me a fragment that is not allow to be post and a fragment that is allow to be post and send me via Pm, I apreciated and I can understand more precisely the issued.

www.proboards.com/tosIf your characters are kissing in the bedroom, I would presume that to be fine. If your characters are having sex, don't describe it. I feel like that would be considered pornographic. If you feel like you need to describe it slightly, use your creative writing skills. Think of the type of content that is allowed to air on daytime TV. As adults, we understand that certain things are implied, even though the actors never explicitly do or say anything sexual. Use the guidelines listed above to assist with your writing. Don't just replace sexual words with other words.

PG13 is kind of a terrible metric to use because this rating is assigned by the Motion Picture Association of America which does nothing for users who are not American.
As a long time role player, my advice is fade to black once you start getting into descriptive text involving any sexual activity or violence. When you reach a point where your writing needs to move into writing about genitals and sex acts, or gruesome blood and guts, stop and "skip" to what happens after such has having breakfast the next morning or being in the hospital bandaged up/at a funeral.

Let me understand more exactely: it is not permitted to describe any detailed act and something that are related with organs. But if someone describe a bedroom scene using substitutes it is allowed?
A curiosity: if the post on the forum are made in other language thanenglish how can I realizad if the Pg-13 were violated?

Replacing offensive words does not necessarily make the content less offensive. To be on the safe side, I would follow Kami's advice (above) and fade to black. If you are using the Chrome browser you can always right-click and select "Translate to..."

I understand. A little. How much access does proboards have to the forums made on this platform? It can see in a forum made on this platform for example a board where only the staff of a forum has access?

Regardless of permissions required to access it.

Just my two cents worth here... but I'd suggest adhering to a PG standard rather than a PG-13 standard anymore... Have you seen what's allowed in "PG-13" nowadays?
A better metric than MPAA rating for those not in the USA might be "If you wouldn't tell the story to your priest/rabbi/imam..." (and if you aren't religious, just imagine if a religious friend would or wouldn't tell the story to their priest/rabbi/imam) then it might be too-spicy for ProBoards.

Just to add to the above, this thread has some useful information: support.proboards.com/thread/570299/pg-13-rpg-scaleIf you go here: rpgrating.com/ and click the Create Rating button at the top right (or just click this: rpgrating.com/create ), this gives a chart. For a 2-1-1 LSV rating (as suggested be the highest allowed on a ProBoards forum (see above thread link)), it breaks down to this: Language (L) - maximum number of 2 Sex (s) - maximum number of 1 Violence - maximum number of 1 Here's what the end result would look like (notice where I placed the check marks):

Members of ProBoards staff (the people with red names on this forum) can see everything on every forum on the whole of ProBoards, even if the boards are staff only.

The ProBoards staff has access to everything posted anywhere on all of the various boards on their servers. BUT, that doesn't mean that they sit around reading every single post by every single member of every single board. I can't confirm this absolutely, but I'd be willing to bet that, unless someone reports something to someone, they generally don't snoop. They just don't have the time. That's just my thinking though... due to the math: 22945 forums (according to their "Forum Directory" page). If only 25% are active with at least 20 posts a day (most active ones would have more... but being generous here to their time available so limiting the number of posts) that would be 5736 forums to access and 114,720 posts to read EVERY DAY... not to mention the few posts on the slow boards as well as the "over 20 posts" on many, many very active boards It's just not reasonable. ETA: for reference, I'm on a board that did 220 posts in the last 24 hours (breaking my hypothetical "20 posts" barrier by 200 extra posts) Several people here are on boards that are way more active than that.
