Hi guys, I've been getting help in the coding section with a script as I have a member on my forum that is producing posts that are full of [ div] tags. Can anyone explain what user input is required to get [ div] tags into a post? I mean, what and how is this member of my forum getting so many [ div] tags in his posts when no one else does? Here is a link to one particular post of his that contains a total of 28 [ div) tags and 28 [ /div] tags. LINK How is he doing it? Thanks for any information. GH.

Gene Hunt, none of the div tags are showing in the displayed post. Are having the div tags causing an issue?

Gene Hunt , none of the div tags are showing in the displayed post. Are having the div tags causing an issue? Hi Scott Only when you click to edit the members post and switch to BBcode, then you can see the many div tags in there. It's been ongoing for a while now as the member in question in adding lots of line breaks at the foot of their posts. Thanks to Todge I have a script running in the Global Footer now and it is preventing the extra blank lines from showing, so all good from that point of view. But todge has brought it to my attention that the member on my forum is wrapping the line breaks in div tags which was fooling the code initially given to me by Michael . As I say, the revised code from Todge appears to be doing the trick but I am just curious as to how this member can produce the div tags in their posts and why so many. I don't think the member in question has the level of knowledge required to be doing it maliciously. What can they be doing to get a div tag in their post? Thanks Scott. GH.

Gene Hunt, my first guess would be they are composing their post elsewhere, then pasting into the post.

Gene Hunt , my first guess would be they are composing their post elsewhere, then pasting into the post. Hmmm. I hadn't thought of that. So perhaps they are composing in Word or similar so they can spellcheck first.. This could also explain the excessive line breaks at the end of his posts then couldn't it? Thanks Scott
