As said above, you should login as ' admin ' not win7user. Also, NEVER post login details here (which i have removed) thanks

I have the username admin. I kn ow that other person. I am the owner of the forum. Please I want this deleted. You are making contradictory statements. 1. I have the username admin. I kn ow that other person 2. I am the owner of the forum. If you simply "know" the creator of the forum (the one who signs in with user name admin), then you are *not* the owner of the forum. You may be AN admin, but that's not the same as the owner.

When conforms was up they would delete it for you. Who is one of the main admins here? This thread should not have went on several post. What I wanted should have been done no more than 3 post. Good grief!

You have to log in with "admin" to delete the forum. Please don't share any forum account with any other person. That is against the rules.
Your display name is admin. Someone did that manually, possibly yourself, by editing your profile.
We are just trying to help you. If you cannot prove ownership of the admin account, the admins of ProBoards Support will not be able to delete the forum for you. If the email address in the admin account on your forum matches the email address you used to register on ProBoards Support, then they will be able to help you further.

I do understand now I see on the members list that I do not log in with "admin". I used to login with admin. Something has gone wrong. I do not understand about the sharing the account. You misunderstood. We share ownership not the account but I know I have logged in with "admin" before. Now that I remember I am 46 and forget real easy. We had conforms we wanted something different. He searched and found pro boards. So maybe he is the main admin I am sorry I forgot how it was all set it. But remember I am the one who has ownership maybe he should have made me the admin using my email when he found it. We have not broken any rules. I do not understand. There are 3 admins all 3 should have the same powers. Your display name is admin. Someone did that manually, possibly yourself, by editing your profile. I don't know I am too old to remember. We are just trying to help you. If you cannot prove ownership of the admin account, the admins of ProBoards Support will not be able to delete the forum for you. Win7User, Support admins (the members here with red names) are usually not available on the weekends or holidays, so you will have to wait until Tuesday (as Monday is a holiday for them) for one of them to address this issue. As plenty have stated above, the only ways the forum can be deleted are: 1. The person who owns the forum, the root admin (the person who initially started the forum), logging in with the username (not display name) of 'admin', deletes the forum. 2. An Admin here who can determine that YOU are the owner, MAY, at their discretion, continue with the deletion process. As you have already found out, you will be unable to delete it under your win7user account, even though you have the display name of Admin. There are reasons that these restrictions are in place, most importantly so that someone a root admin has given powers to doesn't go rogue during a dispute and just up and delete the forum the root admin created. If someone owned a bicycle and loaned you the use of the bicycle, it doesn't mean it's okay for you to throw it away. Please be patient and the Admins will be more than happy to help you with your issue on Tuesday.

OK I appreciate all the help. Just a note I do have the powers to delete all the members except the main Administrator. Now I understand for sure I know he signed up for the forum I will wait until he replies. The forum has been dead though. Some bad things happened and just killed the forum staff members doing and saying things killed the forum. It's just been up no activity I may start if again if I had members and had someone to help with setting the themes because all I do is screw it up. Conforums was allot simpler.

If you know that "admin" is the "other person", then you are not the forum owner. I see 2 accounts on that forum. If you are the forum owner, then do a password reset (the link is on the Login screen). Enter "admin" (without the quotes instead of an email, and a reset link will be sent to the email associated with it. Otherwise, all I can offer is to wait until Tuesday - when the PB Admins will return to the office and can verify if the forum owner's email is yours or not. Therefore, if the email tied to the global account that you're using here is not the same, you will need to post here under that account. Please note that the PB Admins will not give you the email address and you will most likely need to show that you have access to the email account.

Win7User, first I just what to confirm that what everyone has posted in an effort to assist you is accurate. Also, the email address for your account here and on the forum do not match the email used to create the forum, therefore we are unable to delete the forum as matching emails is the only way we are able to verify if you are the same user as who created the forum.

OK Again I am the owner of the forum. But I did not create the forum. I am waiting on the guy to contact me back. We do not use the forum anymore so I don't see any reason why he would want to keep it. I will let him know about this post on here and he can log in and confirm whatever. I tried to just delete this post because it's gone on too long. I could not delete it so I will just wait it out. May be a few days I will just wait. Thanks for all the help.

OK Again I am the owner of the forum. This is incorrect. The owner of any forum on the ProBoards service is the person with access to the user/1 account. We do not use the forum anymore so I don't see any reason why he would want to keep it. This is not relevant to a discussion on the Support Board. Your only recourse is to contact user/1 on that forum and they will make a decision as to whether or not they will delete the forum they own.

Here is where the confusion lies: you consider yourself the owner of the forum, however in terms of technicality the only owner of any forum is the person who created it.
It doesn't matter if you "took over" the forum, or had someone set it up on your behalf, or anything else. If you did not create the forum, then ProBoards will not consider you to have any ownership rights.
The only exceptions to this are:
- if the person who created the forum came here to ProBoards Support and initiated and completed an ownership transfer to you. - if the main administrator passed away and circumstance allowed PB to choose you as the successor.
Regardless of your powers on the forum, the only person that can request the forum to be deleted / who can delete the forum is the person who created it. That isn't you, apparently, so you're out of luck.
If you no longer wish to be associated with the forum, simply use the Forum Cleanup tool in the admin panel to delete your posts, then delete your own account.
As an aside: you mentioned Conforums being bought out by ProBoards. This isn't the case; Conforums ended service in 2018 and there was no news or information about an acquisition or merger. If you had a Conforums forum, no ownership or account information transferred over when the forum creator made this forum on ProBoards.
