As you may or may not know, recently there was an executive order signed by the president which aims to make social media sites-- such as this one-- potentially more legally liable for the content generated by their users. Section 230 is a provision of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 which shields content providers from legal action (primarily defamation suits) that publishers are not protected from, provided they act in good faith.
I do not bring this up to raise any political discussion, but rather to ask if this could have any potential ramifications on the rules of the site.
