Forum URL: c19.proboards.com/One of our long standing members has forgotten her password - she has recently had to purchase a new computer -so logging on is no longer automatic for her. I checked out the 'forgotten password' link and used her current email address - this was not recognised so I'm guessing she has changed her address since she joined several years ago. Her user name is recognised and presumably the email has been sent to her old address - is there any way this can be sorted?

Unless she still has access to the prior email address, there's nothing much that can be done; PB asks only for an email address to verify identity, so there's nothing that can really prove they are who they say they are (even if you vouch for them, etc). It's not to say they're lying but rather that since PB cannot 100% verify their identity it opens a slippery slope for fraudulent cases if they were to make an exception. If she doesn't have her old email address, the only thing I could suggest would be to have her re-register. You can manually adjust her post count, and put a little note in the signature area of her old account that links to her new one so that anyone viewing her old posts will know it's the same user. As a gentle reminder, the ProBoards Terms of Service does state that it is up to the member to keep their information accurate!
