Hello.
I was going to some group management on my forum, and accidentally removed permissions from master admin (not thinking about the fact that it would demote me.)
So now I can no longer access any admin area, and no other admins of mine are available to help. They won't be able to either, since normal admin group does not have access to group management on my page.
Any way to restore this for me? Very frustrating. Dumb move on my part.

Hi protax and welcome to ProBoards Support. Luckily it is not possible to remove the admin permissions from the forum creator, (with userid 1) on the forum, all you need to do is log in as that user, (provided you are the forum creator), or if not, you will have to ask the user with the id of 1 to restore your access.

It is impossible to remove the Root Admin powers, as they do not even need to be in a group. If this is your forum, are you logged into the Root Admin account? You will have the Username of admin and the User ID of 1. This person is also known as the forum creator. The Root Admin account will be able to restore powers back to the Admin group. If you are not the Root Admin, then you will need to contact them to restore your powers. Their profile will have a URL of: https://your_forum_URL/user/1

Hello. Thank you both for your reply.
I only just now realized that there was someone who originally created the forum for me on their account. The user/1 link redirected to their profile. The problem I'm left with now is that user is no longer around.
I'm guessing this leaves me completely locked out of my own forum. Is there any way for a proboards admin to go into my forum and undo the changes I made to the master admin group, and add me back to master admin?

Is there any way for a proboards admin to go into my forum and undo the changes I made to the master admin group, and add me back to master admin? The ProBoards Admins should be in around 9:00 AM Pacific Time, USA. In the interim, if you have the forum creator's email, I would suggest reaching out to them to see if they would be willing to transfer ownership of the forum to you. The details on how they would do that can be found here: Forum Admin Account Transfers

I'm amazed with the quick replies. Again, thank you both so much.
I will patiently wait for the proboards admins to reach out.
